Chapter 1

Marriage , love

Every person in this world , has the right to choose with who they want to be marry with , and usually for sure the person is someone that they have known for years , being in love with them and was ready to build a life with them.They already could see their future with someone they love , with someone that would marry them someday , with someone that would be their priority or their responsibility to take care of , or make them happy for the rest of their life

But in jennie's case , it was totally otherwise

She was living her life as usual , woke up in the morning , went to college , meet with some of her friends , talking and laughing together without caring about anything , without having a single thought that her life would change into a new one as soon as she got home , when her father called her to have a little talk , and all she knew after that was she's going to be in a marriage life very soon

With an unexpected person that she never thought she'll end up marrying her

"Dad , tell me you're joking" jennie look at her father , who seemed like not even trying to stop the joke if he was really pranking her.All she can see is the seriousness on his face , as if the reality telling her that she wasn't dreaming

"I'm not playing jokes with you jennie" The guy said firmly

"You didn't even tried to discussed about this with me?Do you think marriage is something that you can done as you please without asking what my answer would be?i don't even love her!" Jennie furiously look at her dad , among all the things in this world that she could think of that probably might happen to her , this is the last thing that ever came in her mind , or precisely was something that she had never expecting at all

"I know both of you are friends jennie , and you do know that we are working together so i'm not asking you to marry with a stranger.I know her really well and i know she's a good person for you , i can assure you that" He said trying to convince her daughter.Jennie sarcastically laugh and buried her face on both of her palms

"We're not even friends!she just used to went into the same high school and university as me" jennie denied

"I know but she–"

"Don't tell me you want me to marry her to let your business grow more in ease with the help of her as my wife dad , because i'll tell you that there's a possibility of me running away from this house if that's really your purpose" The man heave a deep sigh after hearing her daughter's negative thoughts of him.What jennie have just said , it was obviously just an empty threat.She won't be able to live without being spoiled by her dad , and at the thought of her father would cut all of her credit cards already made her terrified

"Honey , i'm a parent , i'm your father , of course i know what's the best for you , and i'm sure your mom would say the s—"

"Don't include mom in this dad , because i know she will take my side if she's here" she snapped that made her father immediately nodded apologetically

"Okay i'm sorry..but what i'm trying to say is i'm really sure that she's the perfect person that i could find for you as your wife , trust me jennie , please"

Jennie felt like crying , she keep her mouth closed as nothing would come out from her mouth.Even if there's something she want to say , she think it's all useless because she know her father would still stick to his options , which is of her marrying the person that he wants

"Jennie , okay listen to me.." His face softened seeing jennie's eyes became teary , he sit beside her and caress her hair softly

"Trust me , i'm doing this for your best.So how about if..for 1 year , if you really can't love her or being with her as her wife , you both can parted ways..that's my promise" he said softly.Jennie sniffle while wiping her tears , she doesn't know if it's kind of good news or just same as before , she's still need to get married

There's a few moment of silence , she squeezed her eyes closed and think for a while about what answer she should give to her dad.She know she won't get away from this , so she have no other choice other than agreed.she sigh heavily and nodded her head , not even want to look at her father

"Okay..." she muttered and it brought a smile to her father's lips when he heard it

"Thankyou so much honey , i love you so much" he said and embraced her in his arms , jennie hug him back but stil wearing a bitter smile on her face

"So tomorrow we will have a dinner with her family , is that okay for you?"he asked which jennie just replied with a nodded.Her dad give her a kiss on her head before she leave , heading to her room.she closed the door and throw herself on the bed as she placed her arm on her head , covering her eyes with a deep sigh.For jennie , it's still felt like dreaming

"I can't believe this..why her.." she muttered under her breath.out of all the people , she never thought she will be married with lisa..
