Didi's diary

Part 1

7 Feb
Today feels different, it feels good like something special is going to happen. Martin senses my overjoy through my wide smile and he smiles back. I look at him and just wonder what I did to deserve such a great  husband. He comes near and laughs,  "and....what are you looking at?". I,obviously still smiling just keep smiling and he kisses my cheek and we get ready for work.

I've gotten dressed and I'm downstairs making breakfast, Martin is still upstairs getting ready, how can a man take so much time getting ready, well that's Martin he's too clean and way more tidy for me.  I'm in a good mood so I make his favourite 'toast' .Whose favourite is toast you may wonder. Martin is very simple I guess that's one of the reasons why I fell in love with him.

I'm making some coffee when Martin comes down and says, "hmmmm something smells nice". I slap my hand on my forehead and say, "Martin it's just toast" He smiles and says I know and I look at  him like he just said something stupid and we both laugh .

It's 7:20 and Sarah, my new boss would do anything to get me fired. I hug Martin goodbye and leave for work .I take the Mercedes because it smells like cinnamon and i love the smell of anything cinnamon.On my way to work I say a quick prayer I thank God for the man he put in my life and then I remember our anniversary is in two days and also my birthday. Everything just seems like yesterday when he proposed.

I quickly get to my workspace because Sarah will come by any minute to check what we are doing.Everyone hates Bulldog but not as much Divine my best friend.(we call Sarah bulldog because she is always complaining and it reminds us of a dog barking not to talk of the fact that she looks like one) Div and I have  been besties since the second grade when I was new and shy and mistakenly poured some of my lunch on her Dora shoes and I kept on  apologizing but she just smiled and said, 'its ok, it's quite ugly anyways and she poured some of her lunch on it'.

Sarah has a daughter,Michelle. Sarah wanted to fire Divine when the board brought her in as the new boss because Div was Safire Incorporateds resource manager and Michelle too was a resource manager. Fortunately and thankfully the board rejected Sarahs offer to fire Div and bring in her own daughter instead.
