"Do you guys notice something strange about Iya?" I asked the squad.
Nakatambay kami ngayon sa soccer field while watching Iya's practice game since wala naman kaming mga klase.
"Like what?" Leo asked.
"Like there's something off or is she acting weird or stuff like that," Sabi ko naman and they all shrugged in return.
"She looks fine. Just the usual Iya Nadine," Cheska said.
"Bakit? May nangyare ba?" Ivan asked.
"Wala naman. Siguro mali lang interpretation ko," I replied as I stare at Iya from afar.
She's wearing the school's black and yellow jersey. Her curly hair is in a pony and she's wearing yellow shorts that are too short for her long legs.
"Akin ;yung number 16 ah," Ivan said with emphasis kaya naman natawa kami.
"Akin 'tong naka blue," Sabi ni Leo, referring to Cheska dahil nakasuot siya ng blue shirt.
"Akin 'yung number 12," I said out of fucking nowhere kaya naman napatingin silang tatlo sakin.

"You mean Iya?" Ivan asked.
"Tangina Elli?!" Leo exclaimed.
"Do you like our Iya Nadine?!" Tanong ni Cheska.
"Boto ako sa inyo," Sabi pa ni Leo.
"T-tangina?! Syempre biro lang mga gagong 'to," I said, defending myself.
"Nagago pa nga kami," Natatawang sabi ni Ivan.
"Pano, si Iya naman kasi talaga yung pinaka maganda sa mga players tyaka suporta sa best friend ko syempre!" Sabi ko pero tinitigan lang nila ako.
"Guys, nagbibiro nga lang ako," I said.
"You better not fall in love with Iya," Sabi ni Cheska kaya naman natawa ako.
"Seryoso ka ba Ches? Bakit naman ako makakagusto kay Iya?" I asked in disbelief.
"BAKIT NAMAN HINDI?!" They all exclaimed.
"I mean, I've been so close with her for more than a decade and I never had a crush on her, ever," I said.
"Ever?" Tanong ni Cheska.
"Never in thirteen years, ever," I said.
"Not even like an attraction or something like that? As in wala?" Tanong ni Leo.
"Wala talaga," I said with conviction.
"Well kasi ako to be honest, nagka crush ako kay Iya nung highschool," Sabi ni Ivan kaya naman napatingin kami sa kanya.
Tangina ano 'to? Random confession, Ivan????
"Well, no doubt, Iya's attractive plus the fact that she plays sport is just so cool. Tapos ang astig niya pa," Sabi ni Ivan which Leo and Cheska agreed with.
"Should I just ask Iya out?" Tanong ni Ivan kaya naman agad ko siyang binato ng hawak kong water bottle.
"PUTA MASAKIT!" Sigaw niya kaya naman natawa na lang sina Leo at Cheska saming dalawa.
