"There are two kinds of people in this world - hopeless romantics and realists." - Lilly Collins as Samantha Brogans in Stuck In Love.

Everything looks much nicer in helvetica, tbh.
DARLING ー the misadventures of Georgina Wiggins Wilcox and Richard 'Ricky' Filly in set south suburban Illinois accompanied by background of mid century jazz.
After four consecutive years of delay, in which our (too much of a pussy) main character, Georgina Wiggins Wilcox, fails to express her undying infatuation (which is to say that the word is ugly comparative to admiration, or adoration, or even simply - love, but it is what is is) to a rather scumbag of a hero (which is a universal fact, except our main character is sadly attracted to scums of all types, especially those akin to Richard 'Ricky' Folly) in a fashionably overdue love story set in south suburban Illinois, six years of adulthood, and sex in cheap bars.
Therefore, in summary to the summary of a story about our poor Georgina Wiggins Wilcox and her attempt at reclaiming her youth, and her four years worth of 'infatuation' in which she has stupidly wasted on Richard Folly, (who she had found out isn't so much of a scum now that he's wearing well tailored suits and talk in deep vibratos only sex gods could pull off, hence she hasn't really wasted all those years pining after him), the author of Darling (see alternative: me) strongly advice you to read this in the toilet - preferably while you're taking a shit - because that's what good books and stories are made for, right?
