The dead boy (zombie AU)

Welcome to the apocolypse

Rin POV

I eventually managed to get Shima's group back to to him, they were distant from me but I can understand that.  I'm kinda glad that I know what I am now, I'm a zombie. A dead thing that is still walking around.
Once we arrived shima's group started to help him. Shima could now slightly walk but he walk funny almost like the other zombies.

I managed to get Shima the canned food that he needs to eat along with Kuro's food, as I fedkuro the two other humans watched me.

" since when did zombies own cats." The stripped hair human said as he pointed at kuro.

" they don't, just me. Kuro almost got eaten so I saved him. He stay with me ever since." I answered

" what's with all the manga and cooking books as well? Let me guess you can read now." He also added as he pick one of them up.

" no, don't know how to read. I like the pictures." I answer again as I finished feeding kuro. I sit down and look at one of the books nearby.

" so... you got a name or something like that." The bald one asked as he helped Shima with something.

" Rin, I remember people calling me Rin." I said as I turned a page.

" wait, you remember stuff. Like before all this happened." The stripped one said loudly which resulted in me throwing something at him and telling him to shut up.

" sort of... I remember my name, the day it happened and someone else. He has brown hair and things on his face." I replied as I pointed to my face for the last bit.

" what are your names. I know Shima, what about you two." I asked as I pointed at the two people in Shima's group.

" I'm Suguro, this is Miwa" Bon said as he pointed to were Miwa was. I simply nodded, I don't know how humans interact with each other it's been a while.

I stay where I was while I was looking at the manga books. It was one with zombies and stuff like that. I don't know what was going on but the pictures looked like the whole zombie thing had started.

Eventually it got dark. I locked the door like last time and leaned against the door. Like usual the hordes came in through the streets looking for humans who couldn't find finding spots.

" is this normal? For hordes to come through here at night?" Miwa asked, his voice was shaky as he curled his body and wrapped his arms around himself.

" yeah, it's normal for them to come through here." I replied as stayed where I was.

" we better sleep. We can look for supplies in the morning and head out once Shima is ready to move." Suguro said as he tried to get comfortable on the hard floor. Eventually the other two fell asleep leaving me to guard the door, I hadn't eaten the meat I gotten today because of the two humans so I decided to eat it so that I don't go hungry.

I started to think about the day everything happened. How it was loud and everybody was screaming.

I remember fires. I remember screaming, growling, flesh ripping and somebody calling my name.

"Rin!"
There was screaming outside, a man with white hair and glasses was packing a bag with food along with a boy who had brown hair and glasses

"Rin we need to go now!"
I helped carry a bag out. The one I have with me, there was a car outside to get us out of the city. There was screaming and growling, gunshots rang throughout the city as the undead piled the out back door.

"Rin hurry up and get in the car with Yukio!"
The man with white hair said as the gun in his hand was fired at the zombie who have managed to get in
He runs and I follow behind them.

"We gotta go...Hurry up!"
The one with brown hair calls out as he opens the door and runs to the car. I follow the man with white hair before I heard a wheezed growl and being grabbed and pulled down to the floor and teeth sunk into my shoulder

" RIN NO!" I heard Yukio cry and he tries to help me. The one with the white hair grabs him and drags him away.

"Yukio it's to late for you brother we got to go!" One of the others who lived with us said as he runs out. I manage to get the zombie off me. I knew what was going to happen. I look at Yukio.

" you know what's going to happen, get out of here! Stay alive for me! Don't die."

I remember now. I remember his name, his name is Yukio. He's my brother and is somewhere out there.The sun started to rise and I get up from the door. I start packing the rucksack that I have had since forever. I back the lunchbox for any undead meat that I find. I pack Kuro's food, I back two manga books and I look around the apartment for a weapon. Sure the zombies may not bother me but it's in case they get in my way. I find a blue Katana sword in one of the rooms a small knife. Kuro wakes up and looks at me.

" we are going to find somebody. You coming with me?" I asked the cat, he stares at me before jumping on my shoulder. It's weird since he has never done this before but I took it as him agreeing to come with me. Soon after the three humans wake up. I had pulled my hood on my hoodie over my head along with something to cover the lower part of my face.

" what on Earth are you doing?" Shima asked me as I look for other things to take with me.

" I remember, I have a brother named Yukio. I need to find him to make sure he is safe." I said as I get ready to leave.

" then we're going with you. It's not everyday you find a talking zombie!" Shima adds as he gets up I only nodded.

" what's it like out there? I've never been outside this part before." I asked as Suguro and Miwa help Shima up in his feet.

" it's full of zombies, bandits, guns, death, bad people, and everything what's to either eat, kill, use or beat you. You still want to go?" Shima asks as he gets his rucksack.

" yes, I have to. To find my brother." I said as I opened the door, I let the humans lead the way to were we going to go in to the unknown world.

" then welcome to the apocalypse." Suguro says as he leads us out of the city
