The queen walked down another short hall that had walls made of light blue glass, coloring the hall and everything in it in pale lighting. More plants were visible through the glass along with a few small critters running about and having fun. At the end of this hall was a metal door with gold buttons lining it and a door knob in the shape of a lion’s head. She opened the door and motioned for them to go inside.

Blue entered first with Dani following close behind him, and then the queen who closed the door once she was inside with them. The room was large and could have been a bedroom but was being used for something way different. Weapons and armors of different variations were all over the place. Dani walked over to a rack of swords, studying them as feat started to bubble inside her again.

“Do I really need any of this?” She tried to pick up a sword and found she had no strength to do so.

The queen walked over to the armor and to a white chest in front of the clothed armor, “No dear, all you need is what is in this box. These weapons will do you no good. Besides, you can’t even pick up a sword so how can expect you to be able to move in armor and wield something that’s heavier than a sword.” Opening up the chest she smiled and looked at Dani as she motioned for her to come over.

Abandoning her attempts to pick up the sword she walked over and stood next to the queen. Her eyes lowered to the contents of the chest. Inside was a bag that would fall weightlessly on her hip, a knee length dress that hugged her torso lovingly and loosened at her hips. Lightly armored boots that would go to her knees were lying underneath the dress along with a small box and a medium sized box. The queen pulled them out and opened them up so she could see what was in them. In the smaller box were two rings, a white rose and a ruby ring, along with a gold chain with tear drop shaped white gems dangling from it. In the medium sized box was a mask that covered the top half of her face. It was white and gold, just like the dress and the boots.

“Put everything on, the chain with the gems goes in your hair.” The queen instructed as she walked over to Blue, “We will be waiting in the hall for you when you are ready. Then we shall discuss what you are to do.” Hooking her elbow with Blue’s and giving him a sweet smile she led him out of the room, leaving Dani alone for the first time since she had entered the world.

Taking a deep breath, she bunched the fabric of her large sleep shirt in her hands and lifted from her body. Cold air nipped at her skin as she bent down a little to remove her sweats and boots. Reaching into the chest she pulled out the dress and pulled it on. The fabric was soft against her skin and reminded her of the kind of fabric her old clothes had been made of. Sitting on the edge of the chest she reached in again to pull out the boots and pull them on.

Standing up she walked around a little to get use to the feel of the boots, she didn’t want to fall in front of someone and embarrass herself. She pulled everything else from the box and put them on as she saw fit. The strap of the bag rested on her left shoulder, crossed over her chest and back to rest on her right hip. The rose ring and ruby ring were both on her left hand. She pulled back her hair into a ponytail and integrated the chain into her hair. The last thing she put on was the mask, as soon as it slightly touched her skin she felt a strange calmness wash over her.

Smoothing out her dress she smiled to herself and walked to the door. Taking the knob gently in her hands she pushed the door open and stepped out. She found the queen adjusting the tie to Blues knew outfit that matched her own in every way. They both looked over at her when they heard the door close and a bright smile came to the queen’s face.

“I knew that those clothes would suit you, you look like you belong here now.” She reached her hand out to Dani, her smile brightening even more when Dani took her hand and walked the short distance to them, “Come, let us talk about what must be done now.”
