𝐈𝐈𝐈. Chapter 66: "It will take time,"

Steve walks up to the front of the Quinjet, looking out of the windshield. "Drop to 2600, heading 0-3-0," he orders.

     "I hope you're right about this. Or we're gonna land a lot faster than you want to," Sam replies.

Sam noses the Quinjet down, heading straight towards the hillside, "You know dad, I've been working on teleporting larger objects and things in them,"

Sam looks back at her, "No. No. I am so glad you didn't bring that up earlier. I am fine with flying, getting my insides teleported is a big no,"

     "Ohhhh sam, I missed these talks,"

     "Next thing you know we're in space," he mumbles under his breath.

     "Well, I've never been there so, we wouldn't have ended up in space," She assures.

The capital city of Wakanda comes into view ahead of them. Sam pilots the Quinjet over towards the palace, with the guidance of Sarah and Steve.

T'Challa, followed by the Dora Milaje, head towards the landing platforms to greet the Quinjet, "When you said we were going to open Wakanda to the rest of the world, this is not what I imagined," Okoye mentions to her king.

     "And what did you imagine?" T'Challa asks curiously.

     "The Olympics. Maybe even a Starbucks," Okoye responds.

The Quinjet lowers the ramp, Steve and Sarah lead the way followed by Rhodes and Bruce behind them. While Wanda and Sam are in the back supporting Vision

     "Should we bow?" Bruce asks, Sarah squints her eyes at the suggestion, "Yeah, he's a king," Rhodes answers. "I'm saving you from a lot of embarrassment, banner, don't, they do not do that here," Sarah mumbles back to them.

As he leads the Avengers towards the palace, T'Challa asks, "So, Sarah, how big of an assault should we expect?"

     "A very big assault," Sarah responds.

     "How are we looking?" Natasha asks.

     "You will have my Kingsguard, The Border Tribe, The Dora Milaje, And-" T'Challa trails off gesturing with his right hand, "-And a semi-stable 100-year-old man," Bucky says.

     "Bucky," Sarah says as she and Steve head in for a hug.

They get to the lab, Shuri greets them all before getting to work. She brings Vision over to an examination table and lays him down. She scans vision with her Kimoyo beads, a hologram of the Mind Stone pops up, showing a clearer picture of its structure.

     "Wow," Banner whispers,

     "I know right," Sarah responds to his shock.

     "The structure is polymorphic," Shuri says.

     "Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially," Banner explains.

     "Why didn't you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?" Shuri asks. Vision looks at Banner curiously.

     "I'm sure you did your best," Shuri says with a smile.

     "Can you do it?" Wanda asks Shuri.

Shuri looks at everybody, "Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures," She explains seriously, then turns to T'challa, "It will take time, brother," she explains seriously.

     "How long do you need?" Steve asks.

     "As long as you can give me," Shuri responds.

A beeping draws in everyone's attention to Okoye. She reaches down and activates her Kimoyo Bead. There was a hologram of Earth, and a red dot just above the location of Wakanda, "Something just entered the atmosphere," Okoye responds.

High above Earth, Q-ship releases multiple drop-ships. Headed for Wakanda.

Outside the lab, Sam, Rhodes, and Bucky look up and see one coming down. The drop-ship hits the force field and is blown apart.

     "God, I love this place," Bucky says,

     "Yeah, don't start celebrating yet, guys. We have more incoming outside the dome," Rhodes says as they spot more drop-ships come crashing down in the forest outside of the force field.

Everyone in the lab stared out the large windows with grim expressions. Vision props himself up on his elbow to get a better look before saying, "It's too late. We need to destroy the stone now,"

Turning back to face him, "Vision, get your *ss back on the table," she says sternly.

     "We will hold them off as long as we can," T'Challa says.

Steve turns to Wanda and says, "Wanda. As soon as that stone's out of his head, you blow it h*ll."

Wanda nods her head, "I will," she replies with determination.

As T'Challa starts walking out of the room, he orders, "Evacuate the city. Engage all defenses," Then, points to Steve, he orders, "And get this man a shield!"

     "Sarah," Shuri calls out, Sarah turns and faces her close friend, "Your suit is ready,"
