The "You" in me

Midoriya's POV

When I walked back an uncomfortable silence hung in the air. Kacchan then looked at me and back at the ground. I suddenly remembered that the villain Deku had killed someone again and it took everything I could to not throw up. I felt nauseous just thinking about it.

"I'm sorry, I...the vow." I whispered. I took a deep breath and looked up at him. " I know it's no excuse but I'm sorry. The last thing I would ever want to do is hurt someone. You know that. Right, Kacchan?"

Kacchan seemed to think and then nodded. He then came over to me and pulled me in an awkward hug but I didint care as I hugged him back.

"I know, Deku...I know." He whispered in my ear.

I wanted this moment to last but I pulled away. We had buissnes to attend to. I then looked at Todoroki. I Walker over to him but tripped over nothing. Typical me. I expected to fall down but Todoroki caught me.

"Careful, you could of twisted your leg on that." He said as he pointed.

"Its okay I'm fi-"

I received another flashback. Many actually. They were all coming at me fast. But there was one thing they all had in common, I had some broken some type bone. What the hell? I blinked out of the flashback and saw as Kacchan and Todoroki were staring at me.

"I had another flashback." I said as I informed them.

"I have to go." I said as I quickly got up.

"Where?" Todoroki asked.

"Just somewhere. I should have done this along time ago."

I felt as hand stopped me from exiting. I looked back to see Kacchan.

"Let me go with you." He said.

"Yeah me too." Todoroki also said.

I hesitated and then nodded. I then looked at Todoroki as I got an idea. I've seen before in one of my flashbacks that Todorki could easily go places with his ice quirk. I told him about my idea and he agreed.

"But you guys might slip so Midoriya, you're going to have to ride in my back. And Bakugo, you're going to have to hold my hand so you dont fall."

"Fuck no."

"Please Kacchan?"

He looked at me and then quickly looked away. "Fine."

We went out to the roof where I hopped into Todoroki's back and Kacchan held his hand. Todoroki then began to move, the air pressing against me felt nice. I nuzzled my head against Todoroki and closed my eyes. I was nervous to see his reaction so I decided not to. I had told them where I wanted to go. We were getting closer to the place.

The building came into view as Todoroki started to go up. I felt scared going so high. What if I fell of? I tightened my grip on Todorki. We then landed in the roof of the building. The roof where Kacchan had once told me to die. I stepped on the ground and started to fidget.

"Now what?" Todoroki asked.

"What I'm about to do...it might be a little risky. Actually, it's really risky." I nervously laughed. I was trying to cover up the fact I was scared.

"What the fuck are you going to do?" Kacchan asked.

"This might be the last time  you ever see me. The real me, I mean." I said with a smile as tears ran down my cheeks.

"What are you talking about?" He demanded.

"I'm going to talk to the person I made the vow with...and this might mean that I have to sacrifice myself."

"Deku, you are not going!" Kacchan shouted.

"But Kacchan, I have to! I want to know what these flashbacks mean, what these memories mean!"

"But not at the cost of your life Deku! It doesnt matter, just ignore them!"

"But they do matter and I cant just ignore them."

"You can!"  He said, now standing a few inches away from me.

"Its going to be ok." I whispered to him as more tears streamed down.

"You can't go becuase...I love you."

I was surprised and couldnt think but then I smiled a real smile.

"I love you too."

We began to cry as we hugged each other. I wanted this to last forever but I had to take this risk.

"I have to do this." I firmly said.

He hesitated before nodding."okay."

I smiled at Todoroki. "This is goodbye for now."

"Yeah." He said as he also smiled. This made me happy becuase he didnt smile often but also sad that this might be my last time seeing him like that. Sad that his dad had abused him. No, I can't think like this. If Todoroki can get over it, then it's not my place to feel bad for him.

I then went to the edge of the roof and sat down there. I looked back one more time.

"No matter what happens, don't stop me. You have to promise. Both of you."

They nodded but this wasn't enough for me.

"Say it!" I shouted.

"I promise." They both said.

I closed my eyes and concentrated hard on finding the person I made the vow with. When I opened them, I was no longer in the roof but in a black room, by mylself. I looked ahead of me and saw the person I had made the vow with.
