The Spellman witches look at each other with grave concern. Zelda clutches the paper in her hand, her red coloured lips pursed. Amatis had her arms crossed, leaning back in her usual spot at the dining table and Hilda sits opposite her on the chair that Sabrina usually sits in. Ambrose was sitting on the counters. He had only come downstairs from his room where he tried to get the familiar of the dead witch raised as mortal to talk about what happened when he heard Zelda's fury. She had advised her cousin to let it rest, but he was worried that there might be witch hunters on the loose. Truly, she couldn't be concerned with the death of a warlock any more with all their current problems.

The front door opened. It must be Sabrina, who returned from a day at Baxter High. Her voice echoes through the hall and they hear her boots on the floorboards, nearing the kitchen. "Aunt Zelda? Hilda? You're not gonna believe what happened at school today." "Oh, we can imagine," Zelda drawls. When the blonde girl walks inside her aunt raises the paperwork in her hands in the air. "Do you know what this is?" He did not leave her room to answer, not that Sabrina would know what it would be in the first place. "I'll tell you. It's an Infernal Summons." "A what now?" Hilda stutters slightly as she tries to explain. "Well, you've been charged with a rather antiquated offense, dearest. Breach of Promise-" "You made a promise to sign the Dark Lord's Book of the Beast and then, when you ran in horror from your Dark Baptism, you broke it," Zelda adds with a scolding voice.

Amatis bites on the nail of her little finger and glances back and forth between her aunt and her cousin. Never had she seen a court case or a trial, but she had read about cases where witches defied their covens or did horrible things to other witches. Some had even denied their Dark Lord and they paid a hefty price for it. But Zelda was still not done with her tirade. "You humiliated our master in front of the entire coven, and now, you will be judged and tried in front of the entire coven." She throws the Infernal Summons on the table so Sabrina could pick it up. "Never, in all my years, has a Spellman been summoned to the Court of Witches." Sabrina interrupts after reading the Infernal Summons.

"I don't understand. Someone is suing me?" Amatis rolls her eyes. "Yes, Sabrina. They are." Hilda nods. "I-It is the Dark Lord. He's determined to get you on the Path of Night." "I saw him today, the Dark Lord." As everybody reacted in shock, Amatis tried to hide the tension in her body and remain passive. Of course he would try to go after Sabrina. She was, after all, what he wanted most. She toys with the cross necklace around her neck, trying to focus her thoughts and listens to Sabrina. "He took possession of Principal Hawthorne and threatened me." Zelda clutches the back of the chair in front of her and turns to Hilda. "Did you hear that, sister? Can you imagine how enraged He must be?"

Sabrina lashed out at that moment. "Well, it doesn't matter. I don't want to be a part of his coven, I don't want to step a foot in the Academy of Unseen Arts, and I am certainly not gonna stand trial." Amatis narrows her eyes at her cousin. "Are you that daft, cousin? Don't you realise that it does matter. Maybe not for you, but certainly for us witches that have signed his Book and are part of his Church of Night?" Hilda lays a hand on her niece's arm, who was about to walk out of the kitchen. "Amatis is right, darling." "Besides, you most certainly are going to stand trial, Sabrina. You've been summoned. And not only you, Hilda and I as well." The girl turns around and frowns. "They are on trial too, Sabrina. As they are your legal guardians, the Court of Witches see your actions as theirs. For that, they are trialed as well and stripped from their witch powers until a verdict is made," Amatis sighs. Zelda huffs in agreement and sits down with her arms crossed. "Your trial begins at midnight. Seeing your new little habit, I suggest not being late," she says before turning her attention away from Sabrina, who went upstairs.
