(TW: Gunshot)

*No Ones POV*

He didn't mean for it to happen this way.

He didn't plan this. Honestly.

I know you're confused, so let's rewind the clock. Back to the beginning.

Patton and Logan had been best friends since birth. I'm sure you can see where this is headed, Patton started to develop feelings for Logan.

Strange new feelings.

Feelings he didn't understand.

Feelings that he eventually determined as love.

Love that he translated into romantic love.

But did Logan notice? Patton thought he never would, but he knew.

He saw the way Patton would steal glances at him when they were studying.

Or how when he hugged him, he lingered a little while longer then he did with others.

But he never said anything. Why? Because he didn't want to hurt his best friend.

Of course Logan loved him, they were best friends after all. But it wasn't romantic. And he didn't know how to tell Patton that without hurting him.

Right as the robber was about to shoot them, one of the others pulled their arm out of the way. Causing the bullet to fly through the glass window and unfortunately right into my side across the street where Patton and I were walking.

Patton: LOGAN!

I look down at the growing red spot on my shirt. At this rate, I'll bleed out before anything can be done.

Logan: Patton I-

My legs give out and I fall into Patton.

Patton: Logan! You're gonna be okay. It's all gonna be fine.

Logan: Going to...

Patton: See? You're doing better already, correcting my grammar. You just have to hold on a little longer.

I don't think so Pat, everything's already slipping...
