College Makes You Do Crazy Things

"He's fucking hot!"Rouge whispered to me. I glanced back at the guy we just passed. "I wonder what floor he lives on. He's got a fat ass,"I grinned. "Hey! I call dibs!"she pouted.

Chaos University. Now see, I didn't pick this school for the hot boys and the beautiful scenery. I chose it for a bright future and well, because my parents didn't want me to move far. It's only like two hours away from my home.

"Hey, quit staring at guys, pervs."

I grinned at Shadow. "Oh, hush. You're just as cute and your ass is just as fat,"I replied.

Shadow is also going to Chaos University. And Sonic. And Amy, Knuckles, Silver, Blaze, Scourge, Manic, Sonia, and Crystal, my cousin. Yep. The gang is all here!

Right now, Rouge and I are getting moved in to our new dorm room. Shadow agreed to help us since he has time. He wasn't living on campus. He has an apartment close by. Not far, walking distance.

We went up to the fourth floor where our room was. We went inside and closed the door. I placed my box on my bed and sighed. "I can't believe it! We're actually college students now! I feel so OLD,"I said, opening the box.

"I know, right! I feel so free! I'm gonna head back downstairs real quick. I forgot a few things,"Rouge grinned. She's going to talk to the dude with the fat ass.

She left, closing the door behind herself. It was only Shadow and I alone. "So, you thinking about snagging a guy too?"Shadow asked, leaning against my unmade bed. I shrugged. "I dunno. Possibly. This IS supposed to be the best years of my life,"I said, folding my arms.

He grinned. "You're not gonna snag anyone."

"Shut up! I can get anyone I want,"I pouted. Shadow stood straight and towered over me. "Anyone, (Y/n)? Anyone?"he asked softly. His voice was deep and smooth like fucking melted butter.

I blushed wildly and pushed him away. "I hate when you do that! Geez! Personal space!" He chuckled, taking a step back. "Alright, alright. My bad,"he smiled, stuffing his hands in his jean pockets.

Shadow and I are best friends. Have been ever since I moved to Emerald High. We just clicked and have been close ever since. He's cute. HELLA cute. But I could never tell him that. I don't want to ruin our relationship. But I mean, we...play flirt. Sometimes I can't even tell if he's kidding or if he actually wants to flirt with me.

We started putting up my decorations and putting away my things when Rouge came back. "I tried to find him, but he was long gone,"she sighed sadly.

"I thought you forgot some stuff,"I smiled. "Well..."she trailed off. "You better stop. I'll snitch to Knuckles,"Shadow said. Rouge folded her arms. "That airhead! I'm never talking to him again!"she huffed. "Oh come on! He couldn't help it, Rouge! You know he only likes you,"I smiled.

Knuckles got drunk at a party over the summer and some girl was all over him. He could barely even form a complete sentence. Forget push the girl off him. But Rouge saw the whole thing. Rouge fought the girl and beat her ass and then beat Knuckles. It ended with me and Shadow pulling her off him and taking her and Knuckles home.

"Whatever! I'm not gonna let him or anyone else stop me from living my best life,"she declared. Shadow and I rolled our eyes before going back to decorating. We finished the whole room in three hours.

Rouge and I decided to decorate our room with lights and loads of pictures and even had matching (f/c) bedding. It was so cuteeeee.

After we changed into some nice clothes, we went to meet with the others at a restaurant close by. When we walked in, we could already see them laughing it up in the back. We headed towards them and was greeted by bright smiles and hugs.

"Hey, (Y/n)! How was moving in?"Sonic smiled at me. He pat the empty seat next to him. I blushed as I sat down. "I-It was fine. Shadow was such a big help,"I said. "That's good. I'm sorry I couldn't help too. Knuckles and I had our hands full at our dorm. I would've loved to see how yours came out,"he said.

Shadow sat in the seat next to me. "Maybe you can come by sometime? I wouldn't mind showing you,"I smiled. Sonic grinned, his emerald eyes sparkling with mischief. "How promiscuous, (Y/n)! Already trying to get a boy into your room? I'm shocked at you,"Sonic teased.

Everyone at the table, except Amy, went "Ooooooooo!"

"Shut up!"I groaned, blushing.

Sonic likes me. I think. I've been told by other people that he likes me. He's always teasing me and trying to get as close to me as possible.But even if he wanted to ask me out, there's still-

"You should've come help ME out, Sonic! Blaze and I had such a hard time! And these guys kept hitting on me!"Amy pouted, tugging at his shirt sleeve.

There's still Amy. She still has a humongous crush on Sonic and hates for me to even BREATHE around him. Like fuck dude. It's been four years and you still can't tell he's not into you???

"You should've gotten one of their numbers. Or asked them to help,"Sonic said. Amy frowned and let go of his shirt. Just as he turned his attention back to me, Shadow wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him.

Sonic frowned at him before looking at me. "So, how are your classes lined up?"he asked. "Oh, well, I have them all in the afternoon from twelve to five. I got a job at library from six to ten at night,"I said.

"Damn. How are you gonna party with us then?"Sonic pouted. I giggled and shrugged. "I just won't have time. I hope you guys have fun though,"I replied.

"Yeah, (Y/n) is a very busy woman, Sonic. You'll have to set an appointment before hand to speak to her,"Rouge joked. "Guess I'll have to make an appointment for a date too then?"Sonic grinned.

"Can't make an appointment for a date she doesn't want,"Shadow muttered.

"A-Anyway! Let's go ahead and order. Can't sit here forever and talk,"I said.

So we ordered our food and after we ate, we went our separate ways. We'd hangout later in the week since classes won't start until next week.

Rouge, Shadow and I were walking down the sidewalk when Rouge stopped to look at an empty building that was for sale.

"Hey, (Y/n). Look. This building is on sale. It's pretty cheap too,"she said. I stood beside her, looking inside. "I can't even imagine why. It looks so nice inside,"I said.  The floors were white and the booths had brown tables and seats.

"Remember when we played around about starting a business together? This could be our sign!"she smiled. "Yeah, but we don't know anything buying a building or even starting up...but I guess we could learn,"I smiled back.

We wrote down the number to call later and continued on our way. We made our way to Shadow's apartment which still had boxes unpacked by the front door.

"This is nice! How'd you get this place?"I asked, plopping down on his couch.  "Well, starting out with GUN, I got a pretty nice bonus. They lent me a company car too but I'm gonna switch it for a motorcycle,"he said, sitting beside me.

"Wow! And here I am working at the old library!"I pouted. "Trust me. You don't want to put in an application for GUN. We had a whole physical and it wasn't just weighing us and making us stretch. I had to fly as long as I could so they could test my stamina,"Rouge said.

Shadow pulled a cigarette from his pocket along with a lighter. "Hey!"I yelled. I smacked it out his hand and he rolled his eyes. "No! No more smoking!"I said. "So every time I feel like smoking, you'll give me a kiss?"he asked, raising his eyebrows.

I blushed heavily, covering my cheeks. "Like I thought,"Shadow said, picking the cigarette up again.
