This is gonna be an emotional rollercoaster . So please be prepared for this.

The tiny stone skipped for a couple times on the water before submerging to the bottom, leaving a trace of a whirpool behind. Rey sighed heavily before dropping her legs onto the grass, sitting in front of the tiny but dense pond.

She took a moment to look everything around her. Nothing new. Same old town she used to live when she first moved here, New York City. It was warm then as it was now. She could still recall all the memories of her sitting here, spending time here in peace to calm those raging nerves. The town that destines her to meet the love of her life. Or so she thought.

Same tall but now old trees, that keeps her warm during the summer.

Same noisy neighbours that kept bugging the other about the hot guy they saw jogging on the park with sweats all over him.

Same noise of children's screeching upon seeing an ice cream truck and running towards it as fast as lightning with their parents hot on their tail, a handful of cash in their palms.

Rey smiled adoringly upon seeing one boy with curly brown hair, begging his father for an ice cream.

With those big doe eyes and chubby faces no one can resist him. A chuckle left her throat when she saw his father admiting defeat and eventually bought him an ice cream. The boy squealed adorably and took it from the man.

He then clutched his father's right hand while the other holds his ice cream and walk alongside with his father-his voice bubbling with joy when he told his father a joke to which the man throws his head back, letting out a guffawed.

Rey sighed when they were out of sight. She wonders if her babies would ever feel the love of their father. She felt her heart breaking a little at the thought. It seems impossible for that now. But remembering his last words before his sudden departure leaves a tinge of hope in her fragile heart.

I'll always be there for you. Always

But he left anyway. Giving her the day off the next morning and putting her in charge of the company while he was away to God knows where.

And it has been a week. A week of her crying at night when the boys are asleep, a week of her staring on her own reflection-dreaming to be someone else, a week of her trying to cope with his absence only to miss him more when she came across his scratchy handwriting in his office. She wanted to call him and ask where had he gone to but she decided not to. She does not want to get her hopes high and then gotten dissapointed a moment after.

She felt like the weakest person in the whole world.

Does he really think that she is capable of handling his stupid company when she can't even handle her own emotions and mental state?

Does he really think that he can just picked a fight with her the night before and ditching her the next morning, disappearing like a thief?

'Curse you Ben Solo! Why must you torment me like this?!'

Rey thought to herself, clenching her teeth tightly, rage bubbling in her veins. She wanted to strangle that jerk and make him pay for breaking her heart continuously.

A tiny, meek voice called her, erasing those bad thoughts. Rey glanced to her right to see Marcus standing before her, clutching his shirt in his palms that seems to have a tinge of red on it. Rey didn't notice of how taller he had gotten. He nearly reached her chin while seating.

"Mommy?" Marcus inquired her, his eyes held anxiousness. Anxious for his mother's reaction when she will know that he had accidentally spilled tomato sauce on his shirt from the meal she cooked for him and Lucas.
