Sometime in June 2011

Cat's POV

I wake up from a restless night of sleep. I try to go back to sleep but can't. I get up out of bed and put my clothes on.
(This but smaller (ofc) and imagine she's wearing a Winnie-the-Pooh shirt!)

I walk down the stairs to be met with my Daddy. He seems to be talking to a guy in a sheriff hat, he's covered in blood and seems to be crying. "Daddy what's going on?" I asked walking behind him. "Nothing sweety, why don't you go with Maggie to go find this mans wife. You will go with her and she will ride ahead with a woman and you will bring his group back." He said. "Ok Daddy. Can- Can I take my gun?" I asked. "Not yet sweety. But take my knife." He says handing me a hunting knife. It has a beautiful bronze color handle and has a arrow on the case. (A/N: Cats huge into archery later on)

"Thank you Daddy!" I say excitedly. I run upstairs and put on my boots. I put my dads knife on my belt loop. Although he doesn't believe in killing these "humans" he still thinks we should protect ourselves. I run downstairs to go find Maggie and I see her outside with her horse Levi and my horse Bearpaw. I go outside and she helps me on my horse. Although I might be tiny I can still ride a horse. She soon gets on and we are riding through the field into the woods. We soon come upon a group consisting of three woman and two men. One of the women was screaming one of the walkers was right on top of her I went running on Bearpaw and sliced it's head in two with my knife. "Lori Grimes? We are lookin for Lori Grimes. Your son was shot and Your husband, Rick is currently with him." Maggie says. "What? Carl?" Lori says panicking. "Ma'am please come with me." Maggie says. "Y'all will come with me." I say in a small voice. "You can't go with this random person." The man with the crossbow says. "I'm going." Lori says. Maggie gives me a stern look and she starts running back toward the house. "Why should we follow you?" The man with the crossbow says. "You don't gotta follow me. I was told to lead you back to my farm." I say. I start walking and they hesitate to follow but they soon do. We make it back to the farm about ten minutes later.

"Stay here. I'll be back." I say as I jump down off of Bearpaw. I put him over in the grass. I walk in the house. "Daddy the people are in the yard." I say walking in not seeing him. I soon walk into the guest bedroom. I see my daddy holding some tools, Lori with the man from earlier and a little boy squirming from pain.
(A/N:Sorry Ik this happens a little earlier but please go with it...)
I cover my mouth with my hands to keep myself from screaming, I quickly turn around. I hate seeing people in pain. I soon hear the boy stop squirming. I few seconds later I turn around to see my daddy putting a bandage over the boy's gunshot wound. I walk in. "Daddy is he ok?" I ask him. "Well sweety, we are going to need a few More items to help him but Otis and Shane will hopefully be back with those soon." He says. "Oh ok." I say. My daddy walks out, probably to go see Ricks group. I walk over to the boy's parents. "Hi! I'm Cat Greene! Who are you?" I say looking at the man in the sheriffs hat. "Hello there Cat. I'm Rick, Rick Grimes." He says bending down to my level. "I'm Carl's dad." He says. "Is that Carl?" I say pointing to the boy on the bed. "Yes he is." Rick says to me. "Oh, he's cute." I say to Rick. Rick smiles at me. "Oh, did I just say that out loud." I say embarrassed. I look up a Lori who is currently smiling down on me. "Um, Mr.Rick? Can I wear your hat?" I ask. He smiles at me and takes his hat off of his head and puts it on mine. I smile a toothy smile at him. "Thank you!" I say happily. Soon Rick stands back up and walks over to his sons side. I turn around and look at the boy. He starts to wake up. I run over to Rick. Carl smiles at his dad. "Hi Carl!" I say. Carl looks at me confused but soon smiles at me. "Carl, this is cat. She is Hershels daughter." "Oh, Hi Cat! It's nice to meet you. How old are you?" He asked me. "I turn 11 in 4 months." I say. "Oh cool." He says. I simply smile as I hear my name being said at the doorway. "Cat, come'er let the boy talk to his parents." My daddy says to me. "Ok Daddy. Bye Carl." I say. "Bye Cat." He says as I hand Rick his hat back and run out of the door.
