Where do our tears go when we cry?

Princess was crying. Tears everywhere. The reason? Her grandmother just died. Sitting near her aunt at the funeral who was also crying made her question a lot of things. Looking at her surroundings, cousins, neighbours, her parents, other family and friends were present. But where was her brother? Not here evidently. He has to go to work. Her brother had told her ages ago that he was no longer part of this family. Princess didn't know the many reasons why yet, but those would haunt her all her life. But this isn't only about her brother. This is about everything, from her lonely aunt to her cold yet calculated relationship with her cousins.

Now at home, she can't help but shed more tears. Lying on her bed, missing the one who would care for her, the one who was her brother's favourite person in the family. The one who's funeral her brother dared miss. Princess doesn't even remember when was the last time her brother met their grandmother. Slowly she fell asleep. For how long? Hopefully many hours because she needs it.

Dream

Slowly Princess opens her eyes. She tries to adjust them to the sunlight and yawns. Finally she looks around her. She was lying on green grass while the sun set in the background. Suddenly it hit her like a ton of bricks. Where was she ? How did she get here? Unable to find any answers Princess did the logical thing of trying to find a shelter for the night. Walking towards the forest she found some time ago she hummed. A while later, age found a cave. She decided to stay there until she found a way out of this place.
