Akaashi thinks that life is an adventure. A long journey wherein we need to discover ourselves — our purpose in life. Whether if we need to stay on some areas in our life or continues to go — look and find about what we're capable of.
His friends says that his wise and calm; but he still don't know the reason on why his feeling like this — an empty feeling.
It's like his being existence is looking for something — the last piece of jigsaw puzzle that can complete his whole life.
Akaashi knows that his enjoying playing volleyball, but it's not something for him to feel proud of: for there are exceptional players around the areas and not even his abilities reaches into them. He's just simply acknowledging his own capabilities.
Yet here he is still deliberating whether to continue playing volleyball in high school. Days has passed and this thought is still lingering in his mind. He can't come up to any decision, because his complicated feelings are clouding his mind to think, resulting on being indecisive.
Train of thoughts filled in his head: followed by an empty feeling. Longing and yearning for something that he need — answers. As he's feeling lost in life while feeling numb on everything. Akaashi seeks to find on what he's looking for to put an end into these miserable feelings.
Admist of these complicated thoughts — one day has come. It was a gloomy monday, where the sun is not visible from the sky, as gray clouds enveloped all the view from above. It was neither hot or cold, the temperature is in between. It feels neutral.
While Akaashi is at the bleachers: being mixed into crowds while watching some play of volleyball.
He thought it was just a normal match of volleyball that he always seen. But his thoughts were interrupted when the crowds gets louder — cheering for the opposing team. His gazed stopped on one person that caught his attention. That was the first moment he saw him.
He watch how you passionately play like it doesn't seem an important match. How well you enthusiastically spiked every ball on the opposite side, enjoying the play, and making lively your own team. He know for a fact that when his eyes locked on yours: Volleyball is meant for you.
Your lively golden irises that shines brightly like a sun — plastering your widest grin whenever you got a score from your spike. It was at this moment, Akaashi got a goosebumps by just watching you play, as his eyes glistened and admired you.
As the sound of referee's whistle resonating through the gymnasium snapping him back from his senses followed by the loud cheers and applause coming from the crowd. Announcing your team had won.
And while declaring your Victory: Akaashi made a decision to enrolled into your school — Fukorodani. Thinking if he was in the same team of you — he will also find the answers.
Although coming to Fukorodani without great ambition, seeing your match makes him want to toss for you and that changed his mind.
And now here he is: first day as a transfer — introducing himself as setter into a new different gymnasium.
