Your POV
I woke up and changed into my robes. I left Locket, who was sleeping on top of shadow like usual. I usually take him to class, but since I had Care For Magical Creatures today I didn't want to risk his life.
I went down to the Great Hall and had breakfast with Tommy. I met up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione afterwords because we all had divination. Hermione however had to do something before coming to class. She was taking multiple courses this term. Over summer she told me the she was going to use a time turner to get to her classes. She hadn't told Harry or Ron because she knew them too well.
I followed Harry and Ron up the stairs to the Divination tower. Instructions were that we had to get in partners. I frowned at who the only available partner was. Draco...
He looked quite satisfied when I went to sit next to him.
"Well, hello Blackbird," he sneered.
"Shove off, Malfoy. Shouldn't you be with Parkinson, or Crabbe, or Goyle, Or Nott?" I asked."
"They already took themselves as partners," he said, pointing over to his goons who were partnered with each other. Goyle and Crabbe were together and Nott was with Parkinson.
"Great," I muttered to myself.Professor Trelawny was a very quirky teacher. She had a hippie sort of style to her. And her glasses made her eyes look twice as big as they were.
"Welcome, my children. In this room, you shall explore the noble art of Divination. In this room, you shall discover if you possess the Sight," said Professor Trelawny before she bumped into the table in front of her chair, making the class chuckle.
"Hello. I am Professor Trelawney. Together we shall cast ourselves into the future. This term, we'll focus on Tasseomancy, the art of reading tea leaves. So please, take the cup of the person sitting opposite you," she said.Draco and I exchanged tea cups.
"What do you see? The truth lies buried like a sentence deep within a book, waiting to be read. But first, you must broaden your minds. First, you must look beyond," she said optimistically.
I heard Hermione's voice. She must've used her time turner.
"You, boy...Is your grandmother quite well?" Professor Trelawney asked Neville.
"I think so," Neville replied nervously.
"I wouldn't be so sure of that. Give me the cup," Professor Trelawney said to Neville. Nevillie handed her the cup. Professor Trelawney frowned. "Pity," she said as she placed the cup down.
Neville took the cup and examined it, nervously.
"Broaden your minds," she said before exclaiming at Ron. "Your aura is pulsing, dear. Are you in the beyond? I think you are," Professor Trelawney said to Ron.
"Sure," said Ron who nodded nervously.
"Look at the cup. Tell me what you see," she said.
"Yeah, um. Harry's got sort of a wonky cross. That's trials and suffering. And that there could be the sun and that's happiness. So... you're gonna suffer, but you're gonna be happy about it," Ron said. I kind of squinted my eyes at him.
"Give me the cup," she said. Ron handed her the cup and not even a second after getting it, she screamed and placed the cup down.
"Oh, my dear boy. My dear... you have the Grim," Trelawney said, quivering her bottom lip.
"The Grin? What's the Grin?" asked Seamus. "
"Not the Grin, you idiot. The Grim," came the voice of Bem, a third year Gryffindor.
"Taking form of a giant spectral dog. It's among the darkest omens in our world. It's an omen... of death," Bem read from his book. The rest of the class was kind of tense. At least from the students who were friendly acquaintances with Harry. Everyone else went on with the class as if it didn't happen.
"Stop daydreaming and read me my fortune already," Draco complained.
"Oh stop your complaining you big baby," I sneered. I looked at his cup then at the book.
"You are going to be very wealthy, but will face a decision that will change who you are forever," I said.
"What a load of rubbish," Draco scoffed. "Oh yeah? Why don't you read me my fortune?" I said, mocking Draco's insecure tone.
"Whatever," he sneered as he looked into the cup.
"Your leaves are in the shape of a crow, which is a sign of bad luck and death," said Draco from the book.
"What a load of rubbish," I said as I grabbed my tea cup and my book. I glanced from the teacup to the book.
He was right...
