Game of Life

Life is a game,
And I am merely a player.
The world is a stage,
And I am merely a performer.

The board is set,
And I am merely a pawn.
The dice has rolled,
My destiny is drawn.

My cards are laid,
And I am merely an ace.
My number was drawn,
Ageing my face.

My boats are in place,
And I am merely a battleship.
There are winners and losers,
We are all thrown in a crypt.

The web is woven,
And I am merely a fly.
Game, set and match.
You're born. You live. You die.
