(Y/N), the Ice Hashira, meets Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira. Can she put up with his smart ass? Will they be able to fight beside each other with no problems? Will anybody be catching feelings?

It’s been around a year or two of me being a Pillar, me being fourteen now. I just got done a mission with Kanroji, there wasn’t really much to the mission, since the demon threat rumors were false, however we did end up eating a big ass meal afterwards, of course we didn’t pay though, Obanai did, even if he couldn’t really be bothered with me.
Now we had to go to a Pillar meeting, it seems like Ubuyashiki has something important to say, Shinobu mentioned something about a new Pillar, too!
Oh jeez, a new Pillar, ain’t that cool? That means I won’t be the newest one, then I’ll finally be cooler than someone here! Well, besides Giyuu, he really seems to fucking hate us, really. No one really likes him, but I do make sure to greet him every time I see him.
I started walking down the forest into the secret area. Maybe I forgot where this shit was? I should’ve just followed Ubuyashiki when he left, god damn it me.
It was getting colder out too, not that it bothered me, I really got used to the freezing weather, plus it’s not too bad, I do have my kimono on.
Humming to myself, I started to actually hurry, the latest Pillar always get some sort of shit thrown at them by Shitty Sanemi, so everyone tries to be early as possible, so no one has to hear his horrid voice.
Was I really lost? Jesus Christ… wait, is someone sitting down right there?
There was a person just sitting in front of the tree, staring at it. They had a uniform on, but why are they here exactly? Maybe they’re lost too! I’ll just help them out!
“Oi! You over there, do ya need any help?” I skipped towards them, waving my arm.
They didn’t stop staring at the tree. Was I not loud enough? They had long black hair, with turquoise tips. I shouted the same thing over again, getting closer to them.
Still no answer. They didn’t even bother to look at me.
Are they perhaps, deaf?
I tapped their shoulder. No answer. I tapped it again. No answer.
ARE THEY DEAD?!
Wait no, they’re breathing.
I fixed myself in between them and tree. Finally getting their attention.
“Huh?” they looked up at me. Ah, they’re a boy. Oh God, what do I say now?!

“Uhm,, do you need help? I can show you the way out of here,” I smiled, not really caring if I end up late. I mean, it’s not like I’ll miss Ubuyashiki being there, I’ll just miss the Pillar gossip, and them making fun of Giyuu.
He got up, and started walking. The hell?! Did he ignore me, or something?! Maybe he doesn’t like talking, that’s all. He does seem to be going the right way, anyways.
Well, the same path as me, which really wasn’t the right way for him-
“HEY, IT’S THE OTHER WAY!” I shouted, running up to him.
He didn’t even bother to look at me, he’s just walking away. Fine. Maybe he just doesn’t know what’s going on, I can’t be bothered with this right now. Also, I really don’t want to miss the poke fun at Giyuu session…
I darted to the area, finally arriving.
“Ara ara, you’re late again, (Y/N). You missed Giyuu’s face when I said he looked lonely over there,” Shinobu giggled.
“DAMN IT!” I sighed, sitting down in my spot.
“Why are you late now, did you trip on a log again?” Uzui asked, laughing at his own question.
“What, no! I’m not that clumsy, not like Mitsuri at least,” whispering the last part, getting a death glare from Obanai. “though Mitsuri stays pretty when she trips,” I reconsidered my words, fixing them up a bit.
“Eek! Thank you (Y/N)! So what caused you to come this late?” She asked, still blushing at the compliment.
“Ah, I ran into a fellow demon slayer, it seemed as if he was lost, or something. He ignored me though, so I think he’s alright on knowing his way back,”
“HM! (Y/N) really is a kind soul! Good kid!” Rengoku cheered a little too loud.
“Ooo~! How did he look like!?” Mitsuri really wanted the scoop.
“Uh,, he kinda looked like a gir-“
I couldn’t even finish when I was met with that boy again, walking to the spot in front of us.
It’s him?! Wait…
Is he the next Pillar!? Ubuyashiki came in shortly after, introducing us to the boy. He was only twelve! Woah, even I was a year older than that!
He didn’t seem to talk at all, but Ubuyashiki stated that his name was Muichiro Tokito. I was really nervous when it came to my first Pillar meeting, so maybe he’s nervous too!
He’s now the Mist Pillar. Mist seems cool, and he’s around my age, perhaps we can be friends! I mean, most of the pillars are extremely nice to me and all, but they’re far out of my age group. I was like the baby of the group, until now. Now he’s the baby of the group!
Ubuyashiki gave Muichiro a chance to speak, but he didn’t decide to say anything, he just bowed instead.
He seems really cool, and strong! I can’t wait to befriend him! Ubuyashiki then dismissed himself.
Everyone started swarming around the boy after, asking him all the questions. I went through this torture already, it made me chuckle that he got all the attention put on him.
I decided to go up to him too, just to ask a few things, nothing serious like Sanemi’s, or Gyomei’s questions.
“Do ya want to be friends?” I put my hand out in front of him, waiting for him to shake it. He stared at me for what seems like a millisecond, and turned back around to start walking away. He ignored me again?! The heck?!
“HEY YOU BASTARD, WE WERE ASKING YOU QUESTIONS!” Shitty Sanemi screeched, waiting for him to answer back to him, which to his disappointment, he ignored him too.
Was he the next Giyuu?! Well, even Giyuu seemed a bit surprised by this.
This just made me want to befriend the new Mist Pillar even more.
Just you wait Muichiro Tokito, we will be friends!
