It was quiet when both Targaryen women entered the crypt of Winterfell, stealth and silence filling their mouths. Daenerys's white winter dress simply hovered over the ground, matching the same of Vaerya's dark blue dress with Valyrian armor on her chest and shoulders and a large piece of bear fur on her right shoulder.

It was in the crypt where they both found Jon Snow, staring at something that kept his attention away from the two, even as they approached him. They were only five feet away from reaching him when they stopped, having him to break his concentration and look at the two, a smile appearing on his face before quickly dissipating.

Daenerys stepped closer to her lover, while Vaerya kept her distance from the two. She was  aware of how close they were, but remained in the crypt rather than leave the two in private. Daenerys placed a hand on Jon's shoulder, her eyes meeting his.

"Who's that?" She cautiously asked, staring at a statue of a girl holding a candle in her hands while a wolf sat to her left.

"Lyanna Stark." He answered after a moment of silence.

All three of them went quiet without moving. Rhaegar Targaryen was responsible for kidnapping a Stark and rapping her before being killed himself on The Trident, but Lyanna died afterwards. Even while neither Daenerys or Vaerya knew who their elder brother was, they still believed the stories of what he did.

"Our brother Rhaegar...everyone told us he was decent and kind." Daenerys said, having Vaerya to follow her gaze at the statue. "He liked to sing. He gave money to poor children. And he raped her."

   "He didn't." Jon stated.

Both Daenerys and Vaerya gave him a puzzled look.

"He loved her." Jon turned towards Daenerys, holding her hands while looking straight into her eyes. "They were married in secret. After Rhaegar fell on The Trident, she had a son. Robert would've murdered the baby if he ever found out and Lyanna knew it."

Daenerys's blood began turning cold, confused yet startled at what the King of The North was saying.

"So the last thing she did...as she bleed to death on her birthing bed was to give the boy to her brother; Ned Stark. To raise as his bastard." He continued.

Daenerys let out a quiet, but startled gasp as the realization began to overcome her. Vaerya's eyes began to open in shock of what she was hearing, not wanting to believe it and not wanting to not hear it.

"My name...My real name...is Aegon Targaryen."

Daenerys turned away from him, letting go of his hands as she felt herself almost falling through the ground. "That's impossible." She said.

"I wish it were." Jon agreed.

"Who told you this?" Vaerya asked.

   "Bran. He saw it."

"He saw it?" Daenerys asked anxiously.

"And Samwell confirmed it. You've heard about their marriage at the Citadel without even knowing what it meant." Jon stated.

"A secret no one in the world knew. Except your brother and your best friend." Vaerya found that hard to believe.

"Does it seem strange to you?" Daenerys asked.

Jon stepped towards her. "It's true, Dany. I know it is." He confirmed.

"If it weren't true...it would make you the last male heir to House Targaryen. You'd have a claim to the Iron Throne." She pointed out.

The Iron Throne was everything she had casted aside just to sit on, from marrying Khal Drogo to banishing Jorah Mormont the moment she learned he was secretly a spy hired by Robert Baratheon to kill her and Vaerya.

Before answered, the distance noise of a horn reached the crypt, having Jon to turn over his shoulder to realize that it was the signal the dead were approaching Winterfell. The battle was about to begin.

All three of them left the crypt, all but Vaerya. She stared at the statue of Lyanna Stark and remembered what Jon had said to the two of them. It wasn't long until she trailed after the two lovers, following them onto one of the towers of Winterfell where Tyrion stared off at the distance.

Jon looked above Tyrion's head and nodded silently at Daenerys, who simply glared past him and walked to the ledge that would give her a better view of the upcoming enemy. Jon then followed after him, leaving Tyrion and Vaerya to stare at the forest; the nervous nickering of the horses and the yells of men reaching their ears.

Vaerya looked at the distance to see Wights slowly walking towards the kingdom, either on the ground or mounted on horseback. It wouldn't matter if they had the largest of armies, this was to become the great war. Winter had arrived.
