Chapter 30

I woke up and heard mumbled voices coming from outside of my room. It sounded like Erza, Levy, Natsu, and Gray pacing around the house talking but I couldn't make out what they were saying since my door was shut. I don't even know how I got in the house last night without waking up Levy or alerting anyone else. "WHERE THE FUCK COULD SHE BE" Natsu's voice was loud and clear and made me jump a little. I pushed the covers off of me and looked down at myself, I was wearing heavy winter sleep pants and a huge sweatshirt, the clothes I was wearing that night were laying in a pile in the corner of the room. I got up and walked over to the door and opened it revealing them all scattered around the apartment Natsu extremely disheveled, Levy standing in the living room with Gajeel standing behind her holding her, Erza sitting on a chair leaning forward and Gray leaning against the wall everyone shot their heads towards me.

"Lucy" Nastu let out and walked towards me and wrapped his arms around me. I slowly wrapped my arms around his waist as he squeezed me. "Where have you been, I've been so worried" 

"I'm fine" I let out after some time.

"I love you" he breathed kissing the top of my head. I immediately tensed when he said this and my mind went back to last night. Even though it was Natsu speaking all I could hear was just Sting talking to me. "Hey, what's wrong?" he pulled back and looked at me.

"I'm fine" I forced a smile, "I just missed you"

"Where were you?" Levy asked her voice raspy, "No one could find you, and then there was some news article about you with Sting"

"We went to all your favorite places and couldn't find you anywhere" Gray got off the wall and walked over to me. "You can tell me what happened" he whispered in my ear before walking past me and to the kitchen.

"So would you like to explain why you were with Sting or should we just listen to what the news says?" Erza chimed in leaning into the chair and folding her arms. 

"He helped me with a crowd of people" I said walking over to the couch with Natsu following behind me.

"So that's why you were gone for like 18 hours?" Levy said, I looked over at her and she had bags under her eyes

"Were you crying?" I asked.

"My best friend disappeared and I was out looking for her all night" she snapped "So yeah I was crying, and I'm sleep deprived and I'm happy your safe but a little heads up that you were going off the grid would've been nice" she pushed Gajeel's hands off her and turned to walk to her room.

"I'm sorry" I called out to her.

"You should be" she turned around and stared at me before she walked down the hall and slammed her door with Gajeel following behind her.

"I'll talk to her" Gajeel said before the door closed again. 

"What about the alley?" Gray walked back over holding a cup from PHILZ and I shivered.

"What?" Natsu asked from next to me.

 "Natsu you can talk to her about this, we can talk to her later." Erza said standing up "Gray?"she looked at him adjust himself on the chair to be more comfortable.

"But I wanna know too" Gray whined.

"You can talk to her after I do" Natsu shot back.

"She was my friend first" Gray mumbled.

"Enough" Erza grabbed Gray's ear and pulled him out the chair.

"Erza stop it" he cried as she dragged him across the floor "I can walk" 

"So do it" she pulled him up and he rubbed his ear "Bye Lucy" Erza opened the door and walked out.

"Bye" he mumbled before walking out and closing the door behind him. 

"So, what were they talking about?" Natsu turned to me.

"My ex, he helped me get out of a situation at PHILZ and then he wanted to have a conversation" I flashed back to moments in the alley "So then I turned him down and went to the alley, but he followed me" I paused before I said the next part "And then" I looked at him "He kissed me" I saw his face go hard and his eyes practically turn into flames. 

"What?" he asked going tense, his body was visibly rigid. 

"And then I pushed him away and left, but he found me and brought me to his apartment to talk about what just happened" my mind went cloudy and I saw sting smiling sitting in front of me. 

"Why would you go?" he said through clenched teeth.

"When I wanted to leave he wouldn't let me"

"Why would you go in the first place?"

"I don't know, but then he........"

"Don't mind me just keep talking" Levy said walking past to the kitchen.

"Are you okay?" I asked her my voice breaking a little as I broke from my thoughts. 

"I don't want to talk right now" she had a bottle of water in her hand and walked back to her room.

"Ignore her" Natsu said snapping me back to him.

"Right" I love you ran through my head in Sting's voice as I looked at Natsu. "He touched me" I looked at the wall "He hurt me"

"I'm going to kill him" Natsu jumped off the couch and ran to the door.

"Natsu wait" I grabbed his arm "It's my fault"

"No, no it's not." he stopped moving and his head snapped towards me.

"Yes it is, I put myself in that position and it's my fault it happened." 

"You didn't tell him to touch you, to hurt you" he spat.

"But it's my fault we had sex" 

"Did you say you wanted to have sex?" I shook my head no "Did you tell him to stop?" I nodded my head yes "So, he had sex with you without consent?" he asked his jaw clenched. I nodded again. "So he forced himself on you? He raped you?" I slowly nodded again. "He's dead" Natsu's eyes went black and he flung the door open and ran out.

"He did what?" Levy was standing in the hallway with tears streaming down her face. 

I don't really think Lucy is the type to keep something like this to herself and keep quiet about it but at the same time she is the type to blame herself for a lot of the misfortune that happens in her life. I'm basing my opinion off the anime and what I've seen and she blames herself for like 90% of the problems that happen to and or around her. She's such a complex character and it's hard to write a story like this with her traits and attributes without losing the idea or belittling it. I try to keep the characters the same or somewhat alike from the original and they don't really bottle things up too much. So to some people it may feel rushed but I feel like this could happen with these characters.
