It was a Suicide Saturday, sort of in a summer time kind of way. Elly had just left her 27 hour shift from Tim Hortons. She was completely pooped and could not wait to get home to her apartment and sleep. She did not have a car because she was poor so she had to walk 12 blocks to get home. On her way home her phone started ringing. It was Ryan. Oh no.
"Hello?"
"Hey Bitch"
"What do you want Ryan?"
"Jeez cool it Elly! Andi and I were just wondering if we could come over and hang out for a while tomorrow"
Elly thought for a moment, tomorrow was her day off and she'd love to spend it with her friend and her bully!
"Yea sure! Noon sound good?"
"Ok bye!"
Well now that meant that Elly would have to clean up her apartment a bit. She was walking up to her door when suddenly she tripped over something. Looking over Elly found that she had tripped over a bunny laying on the sidewalk. She slowly approached it and found that it was still alive! Quickly but gently she picked it up and rushed into her home.
Rushing in she put the bunny down on her bed, hoping that it would be okay. After that she took a shower and got into bed herself, she'd just have to remember to clean her apartment in the morning.
In her dreams, she spoke words that would melt in your hands and she spoke words of wisdom. "Im not up to going" an unfamiliar voice echoed.
Elly woke suddenly. She had never heard a voice like that in her dreams before, needless to say it startled her a bit. Something about that voice she thought. Nevermind. Elly suddenly realized that she had forgot to set an alarm but she didn't really mind since it was her day off! Remembering the bunny she looked to the other side of the bed to see it still laying there quietly. Carefully she picked it up and because she is a furry she softly kissed it. Suddenly it wasn't a bunny in front of her but a man! Elly who was very much surprised by this shoved him away from her! It took everything in her to not scream while doing so. The man who was awake now and obviously stunned looked around confused.
"W-where am I?" He questioned hesitantly.
Just as he spoke Ellys front door opened and she heard two voices. Crap! I forgot they were coming over!! Without thinking she shoved the man into her closet and locked the door. What would her friends think if they found out she had a random guy in her apartment? Quickly getting dressed she met her friends in her living room. Ryan seemed to enjoy letting himself in without knocking. On the other hand Andi was looming in the doorway waiting to be invited in. She seemed to do that often.
"You can come in Andi" Elly told her.
Soon they all found themselves sitting at the kitchen table playing scrabble. Somehow Ryan had managed to put the f slur down on the board three times. "And that's 23 points!" He said. Banging was heard from the other room. Both guests wore the same confused face, "did you guys hear that?" Andi asked the other two. Before Ryan could jump in Elly quickly blurted out "what are you talking about? There was no sound ahaha" she was not a very good liar. From the same room came a muffled shout "HELP". Andi and Ryan exchanged worried looks. "Oh uhm it must just be my cat lol" Elly tried to come up with an excuse". Ryan thought for a moment "Elly but you don't have a-" "OH LOOK AT THE TIME YOU GUYS SHOULD BE LEAVING AHAHA" Elly said as she was pushing them out the door.
Ryan and Andi stood together on the doorstep together for a moment, both confused and now a little bit more scared of Elly.
"Phew, that was close" Elly leaned herself up against the door. She was about to go investigate the man whom she had locked in her closet when her phone went off. It was a text from Kailey.
"Hey we still on for lunch?"
Elly thought, I'm sure he'll be fine in there for a bit longer.
"Omw"
Arriving at the Café Elly could see Kailey waving her over to a table. She sat down next to Kailey who was accompanied by Alek and Amber who just seemed to be constantly glaring at and insulting eachother. "Ignore them" Kailey said "Amber was having another 'hate the gays' phase and Alek is apparently not in the mood. Anyways how are you?" Elly looked over to Kailey and knew she could tell her "Well I'm doing ok, but something weird happened this morning-" she was suddenly interrupted by the waiter " Hello, My names Obama. What can I get you?" "Just four coffees" Kailey told him. She then looked to Elly asking her to continue what she had been saying. But before Elly could start again Amber paused from shouting at Alek and asked "Elly! Are you ok?? You must be devastated after what happened last night!". Elly now has a confused look on her face and questioned what that meant. Amber was shocked that Elly hadn't known "Jake Luppen is missing! The police think he got kidnapped!!" She almost shouted, causing some of the other people at the café to turn their heads. Elly was suddenly not feeling very well, or at least that's what she told Kailey as she was rushing home.
