The moon hung low in the indigo night sky. Another night, another trip to the docks. Aaron took a drag from his cigarette, the embers of his cigarette lighting up the shadows of the alley way we stood in, waiting on our shipment.

"How long is it going to fuckin take him to get here? We don't got all night." Aaron spat out, his slight New York accent forcing it's way through as he became angrier.

I glanced at my watch, he was late. Being late was never a good sign. I sighed, we had a deadline to meet by tomorrow or our client was going to quit buying from us. Again. It had been happening recently, our shipments had been tampered with and we had to push the delivery later and later. That wasn't good for business.

"He'll fuckin be here, just fuckin wait a bit." I was starting to think the worst could have happened. His cargo ship didn't pass inspection, someone tipped the police off, or another gang assaulted the shipment and took it for themselves. Fuckin bastards.

We had arrived, the three of us, on time if not a few minutes early. 9 o'clock on the dot. I fidgeted uncomfortably, this was getting bad. He was supposed to have docked in by now, they stop all docking by 6 PM.

"I'll call him. "

"Thank you, Danny." As Danny occupied himself with finding the whereabouts of this bastard, I peeked around the corner where the ships were in view.

"Alright. Yeah. Well, we're here by the ships."

Dannazione. Time was ticking by and it wasn't looking like he would be coming anytime soon.

Aaron stubbed out his cigarette on the smoky gray building. "This fucking bastard." He turned back to Danny after he looked out at the docks.

"So...He went to the wrong place. He got confused and thought that we would be exchanging at Leo's."

Aaron kicked the wall, "Are you fucking kidding me! He was meeting with someone, we have to cut all ties with this son of a bitch."

"He's coming down now, he says he was going to be on his way back anyway since we didn't show up and Leo wasn't there."

I ran a hand through my hair, sighing exasperatedly. "He fuckin knows to never go to Leo. Leo doesn't fucking talk to people unless he has set it up, is he that dumb?!"

iMessage from David Hardt: I'm here.

"He's here."

"God, finally."

The boys and I sauntered out from the shadows to meet him, David Hardt, our worthless delivery man.

"Hey! David, what the fuck were you thinking?" Aaron spat in David's face, anger boiling in his eyes. He was pissed, and he didn't usually get this pissed. David flinched and backed away slightly from Aaron.

"I-I read the directions wrong! I'm sorry!" He put up his hands in defeat, the duffle bag hitting the floor.

Danny gestured towards the bag, "Is that the dope?"

David nodded, fear present in his eyes. I glanced over at Aaron, something was off. He stood off to Danny, his arms crossed, glaring at David. Any second, David could burst into flames. I brushed it off, he was most likely upset because he had to wait for David.

"Here," I pulled out the envelope with the money. "Now get out of here." I tossed the envelope at his feet and Danny took the duffle bag.

"Thank you. Pleasure doing business with you all." David nodded, backing away towards his boat.

"Stupid prick." Aaron spat on the ground, "How much did we give him."

"Nothing less than the usual." I took out a few 50 dollars bills from my pocket, "but maybe a little less because we had to wait." A smile cracked onto Aaron's face.
