We originated in the Crimson Mountains of Reveon. Legends say that two primordial, heavenly maidens were at a lake when a divine bird appeared and placed a red fruit on their clothes. The older one, Luisa, ate the fruit, became pregnant, and gave birth to eight children. The other, Lucchina, did the same and gave birth to a dozen children.

The children were gods and goddesses. From Titania, her children were listed in this order: Phalo, the god of the sky; Viatrix, the goddess of life; Verimite, the god of war; Dmitri, the god of knowledge and memory; Nexara, the goddess of the rivers; Viyella, the goddess of storms; Alous, the god of fire; and Thidia, the goddess of nature.

The other gods born from Lucchina were just as important, but they are not worth the mention.

Us children of Luisa were called the Titans.

I could have a good yarn about old times, but again, I want to be brief. That is all a story for another time. It is true, the gods have all mated with each other at one point or another. We've lived for thousands of years, alas, you could not expect less. However, as it is known, there is a reason why we were called the Titans.

A few of my Titan brothers and sisters married each other: Phalo and Viyella, and Alous and Viatrix. Others married outside of our immediate family: Verimite to Rhaion, Nexara with Idris, Thidia to Reiyr. Personally, I think marriage is of little importance. For Phalo and Nexara first mated with each other and together they became the parents of the first Great House of grandees, House Solattos. All their children were sealies-waterbenders.

Jealous, Viyella mated with Verimite, and thus House Talone was created, a house of electrojans. Then, even more jealous that her children were not sealies, she mated with Phalo, only to find out that their children controlled weather. They were tempests, the members of House Zaverine.See, that was the thing with us Titans. The offspring of two Titans would always differ from that of other gods' children. No other gods could procreate with one another to replicate these grandees's abilities. So they became known as part of the Grandiose: the order of rarity and divinity. They were grandees whose power was simply unique.

In contrast, the offspring of any gods that were not children to two Titans had abilities that were common and shared amongst most grandees. These grandees were known to be as part of the Gracians: the order of common ability. They were part of the nobility, members of High Houses. High Lords and Ladies owned lands and major cities and had massive leadership from either being somewhat related to a Great House, or efficiently having influence that a Great House needed. Mid-Houses consisted of regular lords and ladies who were like High Houses but not as powerful. Low houses barely had any recognition and were typically in the lower class with prolees, but they still had privilege. They were merchants, businessmen, soldiers, officers, shop owners, land barons, artists, and intellectuals. Some married into Mid or High Houses or rose above their station.

So, we Titans named the Grandiose as royalty. They were kings and queens of Reveon. To govern these rulers properly, we appointed the monarch from the oldest house as the High Queen of Reveon. Diane Solattos was the first High Queen and her husband, Damiano Cayne, was the first High King. But, because her children could not inherit her ability ( for it was rare for a child to inherit the mother's ability), her brother Marcas was her heir and became the next High King. Afraid that his children wouldn't inherit the sealie ability, he took his sister, Tara, to be his wife and together they had a son. The son would grow up to be the last High King from House Solattos. King Sorrehn himself was a sickly boy, constantly watched by Cayne and Shahied healer guards, and he required blood healing regularly. He died at age twenty-five, but it is important that you learn how his death attributed to the events that will follow.
