KC was trying to make her was through the crowd it was her first day and she was running late. She almost dropped her donut 3 times she was listening to music to block out the other 104 people on the street-total-it bothers her that the last person who she bumped into was wearing mismatched socks one green one pink ,they were pretty plain actually ,she was approaching her new job when she finished her donut.
"Okay you've got this", she remembered 4 years 3 days 2 hours 15 minutes ago when she read an article in the waiting room of her doctors office on how talking to yourself is beneficial in many ways.
"I've got this" she stepped out of the elevator to see a room full of officers. "This is not what I was expecting".
She was wearing an off white fleece blue jeans and a black t'shirt.
"Hi" she turned to see a Latino man he was taller than her but not by to much "can I get you seated".
"oh hi nick right who am i kidding I know your name".
"who are you exactly".
"oh uhhhhh", she started to mess around with her purse", I ummmmmm", she was still struggling "detectiveeeeeee ah here it is Cottrell" she handed him her badge.
"oh new girl"
"Sure" she didn't really care anything was better than her name
"What's your whole name" he asked
"oh uhhh I-I hate my name"
"I don't what is it"
"Khrystalline Clarissant Cottrell the Xlll"
He sucked in through his teeth "yeah" she said
"Yeah" they both started laughing "hey who's" this Olivia walked over
"Oh this is Crystal Claire Cortell"
"Woooowwww"
"what" he didn't even know what he did wrong
"What you just butchered my name"
"No I didn't" he was clearly joking
"okay alright bet"
"Who" Olivia had no idea what was going on
"New girl" nick was looking her up and down he started to lick his lips
"oh yeah um Khrystalline right?"
"please call me K.C." she put her hand out to shake Olivia's
"nice to meet you K.C. , I'm Olivia" they were shaking hands
Nick was right next to her how come "I can't call you that" "you have to earn it", she joked and bumped into him as they walked away.
