Max peeped through the window as he watched the ruined city.Sadness was clearly written on his face. Some alien species appeared unexpectedly and destroyed their world. They were unstoppable.
Are you alright? Harley asked. She was a head taller than Max.She also appeared pensive and sad.

This is our last chance, Max said.If i fail everybody dies again.I can't shake off this feeling of uneasiness.

Its the right motivation, Harley said.She moved closer to him and gave him a tight hug.

Okay enough romance, xander said as he stepped into the room with them. There were about six people in total in that room.Max you have to go now.

Max sighed deeply. He moved to the time machine. He was to go back three weeks into time to warn the world about their oncoming doom. This was the last hope for humanity. The alien species were controlled by a queen in their mother ship. He was to orchestrate an attack on this creatures.The time machine was a long shot. It could probably tear him into pieces and deposit his body in another timeline.The only hope they had was him due to his regenerative ability.Max looked at all of them. As soon as he leaves the aliens would see the signal and attack them and definitely kill them. The thought of that churned his stomach in a way that he didn't like. They all stared at him with hopeful eyes.

Max stood in the middle of the machine. He closed his eyes and inhaled air into his lungs deeply. Proceeding to activation, one of them said. They all scrambled to various monitors to ensure the smooth operation of the machine. Slowly the machine was starting. A twenty seconds timer was activated. The machine roared loudly. A blue crystal like light began enveloping Max. He could feel a scourge of heat souring through his body. His body regenerative ability did not take away his ability to feel pain. The intensity of the noise increased and Max was almost totally submerged in the blue crystal enveloping him.

There was a sudden boom. A flash of light hit the blue crystal and an explosion occurred. Everything happened so fast as no one could tell what really happened. The time machine exploded and everything within its vicinity was vaporised. Max found himself in the midair before he crashed on the floor from the building. The building was ten stories high so the fall was lethal. He screamed as he felt his body shatter on the floor. His eyes tried to shut close but something was still keeping him conscious. He could feel his body repairing itself and fixing all damages. Slowly his body was becoming normal.He struggled to get himself to his feet.He looked up and saw the top of the building in flames. Anger surged within him. That machine was humanity's last hope and those bastards blew it to hell.He spotted an alien ship approaching his position. He rolled himself towards an alley to hide. The space ship came into view.It had circular edges and was large.Max picked up a piece of stick from his pocket it was a camouflage advance weapon and he was grateful it wasn't damaged during the fall.A flight of stairs emerged from the spaceship and about four alien species came down from them.They held sophisticated weapons. The aliens were taller than any human known.They had the physical attributes of humans but were too clever to be underestimated.They wore armour all through their bodies and had masks.

They turned towards his location. Max knew immediately that they had seen him through their heat signatures on their helmets. Shit! He cursed. He fired at them with a blast from his stick gun.A blue light traveled from his weapon towards one of the aliens species.It had an impact with it and the alien jerked backwards. But that was it,it recovered almost immediately. This fuckers must have a weak point,Max screamed. The aliens were speaking in strange dialects at each other and immediately opened fire at Max.

He dived into a window through its glass as hot debris splattered all over.The aliens moved closer in confidence.He dived into a room and closed the door behind him as he hid at the side.He needed to have a close combat with them to determine their weak point. The door burst open and Max dived at the alien immediately. He successfully kicked its weapon from its hand. The alien seemed surprised at first but recovered immediately. It shoved Max off his feet and sent him hauling in the air before landing on his back.The other aliens also appeared across the door.Max leaped quickly for the alien weapon on the ground and fired one of the aliens on the chest.It came unexpected and the alien roared. There wasn't any damage to the alien but the armour around the chest vaporised exposing the alien's chest.Max spotted a reddish thing glowing from within the chest and he didn't hesitate to shot it.The alien immediately screamed before it whisked out of existence.This caught everybody in the room by surprise. It then dawned on Max that he had discovered their weakness. The other two aliens turned at him in shock they still hadn't believed what happened. Max fired them quickly twice at their chest. They all vanished from sight.

Max shook his head.Everything dawned on him now. This creatures existed by reality they must have breached through time. They were all linked to their queen which means their queen had somehow programmed their existence to this timeline and if he could and destroy her he could erase them from all realities and timeline which means they never existed. A ray of hope soured through Max's mind this was his chance to save humanity. He had the right motivation now but first he need to get to their mother ship which means he needed something to take him there.He spotted the alien vessel below him and a smile cut across his features.He had a plan.

The queen of the aliens stood in her chamber.She was larger and taller than all the aliens and also had six hands,three on each side.She was also overlooking her eggs chamber and appeared pensive. She could feel some of her children were gone as she lost connection with them. Someone had finally figured out how to destroy them.It was only a matter of time before the person comes for her to finish them.She however was not shaken by anything.Her stone was intact and there was no way anybody could take it from her.

Max climbed the top of the building.He noticed the space ship below him.The space ship was apparently waiting for their comrades to come back.He moved cautiously on the building and leaped downwards at the space ship. He landed heavily on its back. The alien weapon was still held firmly on his hand. The space ship jerked backwards as the driver was trying to shake him off.He rolled to its side and landed on the stairs leading from the door of the space ship.He moved quickly inside and sighted the driver. He fired at its head. The helmet blasted and the alien's head was exposed.Damn! You're ugly! He grunted as the aliens head came into view. The alien gasped for air as it fell on the floor before decaying away. Interesting! He said.
He moved to the controls. It was somehow complicated but saw he could handle it.

He drove into the mother ship but was surprised to see thousands of ships already waiting for him.What caught his attention was the queen.

You think you can undo what we've done to your world, the queen spoke.

So you speak English bitch! He snared. His words seemed to anger the queen.She blasted something at him and it blew his ship.He fell straight down to the floor.The queen then stabbed him with a piece of iron. She seemed satisfied and retreated backwards.There must be something.Max smiled.She didn't know ofbhis regenerative ability.He then saw the queens stone.It was large and perfectly hidden and blended in her body.It was only smallish glow that betrayed its presence.He picked his gun and aimed carefully at it. The queen was walking away from him and had her back turned to him.For sarah,he said as he fired her.A bright light glowed and enveloped everywhere. Max closed his eyes as everywhere went numb.

His eyes drifted open slowly. He could feel a familiar scent around him.He felt the nice feeling of the silk.A hand touched his body and he turned and saw his wife lying with him on their bed.What's wrong? She asked.

Nothing, he replied. He closed his eyes in appreciation.He had won. He saved the world. A feeling of triumph filled him. This was another opportunity for him to start over.He closed his eyes and continued his sleep knowing the nightmare was over.
