When I was a cute chubby 10 year-old good looking kid, my mother was always telling me to "stop using your mobile phone" whenever she was asking me to do something in our mini-store. When she was teaching me on my subjects and the time that she figured out that I have a failing grade on one of my exams, she would have told me "that's what you get when you are always stuck on the computer and just browsing and browsing nonsense things." Those were some memories that I've remembered every time my mom and I were debating about technology, and for sure those are also the cries of some kids right now.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other sites have been around since most of us were born. They are not just only the enemies of our teachers and parents when it comes to focusing ourselves on a task or studies but technology in social media has brought us in a new perspective wherein we can produce high-end and efficient results in just an instant.

It is undeniably true that we have so much to owe on social media though they may have negative effects on us, the more important is that these technologies provide ease for everything. It does not just alienate us from each other but social media features like stories on Instagram and Facebook have brought us closer together from all of the generations in this world, unlimited chats or calls on Instant Messaging apps like Line, Flashat Huddles and Whatsapp have helped us to maintain all kinds of relationship that would've lost or talking to someone even they are on abroad.

Social media have never stopped connecting people in any seasons of life. It is just how we use this technology on our daily basis. We should not blame these apps as we are the only one who is posting and reacting to something that might start a negative thing.
