Chase 6

1 month later**

Vernilla's Pov:

The man kept on pursuing me for a month now.. And it is not a good sign that my heart started beating again for the same man. 

He was beginning to send me flowers and letters which he had done in high school. Nakakainis dahil pinapatibok na naman niya ang puso ko! 

If you're wondering why we met? It was not the usual love at first sight. Actually, nung una ko siyang nakita, nagwapuhan ako sa kanya pero hanggang doon lang yon. 

I didn't fall for his charms. I fell in love with him due to his caring personality. 

We were strangers when we first met. Hindi namin alam na magkaibigan ang parents namin noong mga bata pa kami at noong magkita kaming muli sa school, doon ako nahulog sa kanya. 

I was a little sad because I was transferred to another school until he approached me that morning.

*-*Flashback*-*

Nasa labas na ako ng bagong eskwelahang pinasukan ko, transferee ako at nahihiya ako. I am also sad because of my parent's decision to transfer me here. They want me to have a good future thus, they transferred me without my consent.

Napaupo ako sa malapit na bench at napayuko. Doon na nagsilabasan ang luha sa mga mata ko. I don't want to study here, I want to be with my friends. 

I hate the fact that I can no longer be with them. Sa pag-iiyak ko, may tumabi sa akin at naglahad ng panyo. "Thanks but no thanks." I said rejecting his hankie because I brought one. 

"Why are you crying? Shouldn't you be happy because it's your first day in high school?" Tanong nito. 

I looked at him. He has a boyish grin and he was already handsome for a boy. "I don't want to be here. I want to stay with my friends." Sabi ko rito.

"Well, you have to be independent now. Mas mahirap pag nasa College ka na kasi maghihiwalay naman talaga kayo, kanya-kanya na kayo pag College eh. This opportunity is a good one in order to help you grow up and learn to know people by establishing camaraderie between them." Sabi nito.

"You're saying that because you are good at establishing friends. You're not an introvert like me." I told him.

Napatitig naman ito sa akin. "Then, I could be your first friend." He told me seriously. 

"I don't want to.." I said. 

"Why?" He asked with a serious expression on his face.

"I.. I just don't want to." Sabi ko rito.

"Fine. If you don't want, I'll be your boyfriend." He calmly announced.

"Hey! Don't just say that! We're only 13!" I told him.

"Well.. Age doesn't matter." Tumayo ito at biglang pumara ng isang taxi.

"W-Where are you going? It's the first day of school and you're-"

Binuksan na nito ang pinto ng taxi at inilahad ang kamay.. "Are you coming in or not?" He asked.

"Saan ka pupunta? It's the first day at magcucutting ka na?!" I freaked out.

He shrugged. "My girlfriend doesn't want to go to school and as a good boyfriend, I should accompany her." He said as if he's saying something normal.

"You're not my boyfriend!" I hissed.

"Papasok ba kayo o hindi?!" Tumaas na ang tono ng driver.
