Suddenly, the fire alarm stopped roaring throughout the school. The kids started to stand up and stretch. I quickly stood up, brushing off what just happened. He smiled at me apologetically and I looked over at Ashley.

She was giving me a thumbs-up sign. God, she was such a loser sometimes.

"Ally is going to kill you," Ashley commented, wise-ass like. I smiled bashfully at this, though.

"Who cares?" I said, walking out of the classroom with a huge grin on my face.

Was that a dream? It sure seemed like it. The best dream I've ever had - even if it was about Jared's hand.

As much as I'd like to say that my entire week was interesting, that would be a lie. Excluding my first time holding Jared's hand, this week has sucked.

Oh, you're not convinced? On Monday, my car broke down so I had to walk home in the snow.. My foot was frozen for approximately ten minutes. Still not convinced?

How about this one? On Tuesday, I let loose a big one in my English class - where you read the whole period. People thought it was funny. Yeah, I just forgot to laugh. My Teacher, Mr. No Personality, laughed his ass off.

Then on Wednesday, in my Spanish class, I said something in Spanish that could be misheard as "hoe" . Let's just say I have a group of people that want to shove my face into dog turds, and they have.

On Thursday! My friend, Alex, thought it would be a real laugh if she unzipped my bag of pencils. Guess who spent the next ten minutes brushing off embarrassment and laughter for while I put my pencils back in my backpack? Me.

Now it's Friday. What's going to happen to me now? Someone accuse me of killing puppies or locking kids in my basement? How about I throw up during study hall? That would be interesting, and by interesting I mean horrible. Maybe they think they should be cliche and shove me headfirst into a trashcan or the popular "locker-face" routine.

Mother Nature has it in for me, I swear.

"You can stop facebook stalking him now, April," Ashley whispered in my ear, making me jump. I slammed the computer back down on my legs and glared evilly at her. She didn't give me much of a response, she just tried to look innocent as she sat down on my bed beside me.

"Privacy. It still exists!" I exclaim, still locking my eyes with hers. She bent over and stared at my computer screen for a moment.

"Oh, does it? I didn't know," She smirked. I rolled my eyes and looked back at the computer, Jared's face all over it.

"Want me to get you a paper bag? So you can hyperventilate with it?" She teased, playing the part by starting to stand up.

"Go suck a big one, Ashley," I mumbled, a bit pissed.

"That's inappropriate," She smiled, not serious in anyway.

"God, just leave me alone!" I yelled, then regretting it. She looked at me with hurt eyes and I looked over at her, apologizing with my eyes.

"You have issues, girlfriend," She teased, and I knew she was okay.

I then shut the computer, and laid it beside me. "Ashley, I don't know what to do."

"Then, don't do anything," She responded simply. I stared at her, dumbfounded, for a moment.

"Nothing?" I asked, checking to make sure I heard her correctly. She nodded reassuringly.

"How do I do nothing?" I asked, beyond confused, then added, "Just ignore him and let him do the talking?"

"Uh, yeah," She said.

"How could that work..?" I asked.

"It'll work, trust me," She smiled, then added, "Time for that bum of yours to get some action.. by getting up and driving us to the game tonight."

"I.. I don't know if I want to go anymore," I lied, wanting to go so badly. She took one look at me and saw straight through my pool of lies.

"Get in the car. My dad used to spank me, I know the strategy," She smiled evilly.

"Mommy, I'm scared," I cried.

"Oh, shut up and drive," She smiled through laughter, shoving me through my doorway and down the stairs.

She continued to shove me until I sat in the driver's seat in my Mercedes. I gripped the steering wheel tightly, and quickly looked at her. She was giving me a "you're-not-getting-out-of-this-one" look. I sighed and put the key into the ignition.

"I hate my life," I sighed.

She just laughed at me. What a great friend I have!

"These lazy days are way to long!" Ashley and I sung Streets of Gold by 3Oh!3 in complete unison. I tapped my fingers rhythmitically on the steering wheel and occasionally looked over at Ashley, who was dancing horribly. Then, I stopped singing and looked at the road.

"Where am I going?" I asked, not exactly the thing someone wants to hear.

"Turn left," She sighed, pointing for me.

"Okay-" I started to say.

"No! Go up a street farther!" She exclaimed, punching my arm.

"You said left!" I yelled at her, trying my best to pay attention to my driving. We kept throwing insults and arguments at each other, until we reached a stop sign.

"Maybe you should have drove then, smart-ass!" I snapped, sitting before the stop sign.

"Yeah, I should have!" She screamed back.

I forgot how annoying she could be, I thought to myself. Actually, no. That's not hard to forget.

I drove, trying to ignore the constant voice of Ashley in my right ear, towards the high school. Then finally, arrived in the parking lot. She slammed the door as she got out and raced ahead of me. I wonder what she's so hyped up about? Three guesses.
