Ricks POV

Lori walks out behind Cat to go set up our tent outside.
"Well Carl I think someone likes you." I say to my son. "Nooo, Dad." Carl says laughing. "Did you find Sofia?" Carl asked me. "No Son but we are still looking." Carl's smile Fades. "Oh ok." He says. "Hey Dad? Do you think we'll find her?" Carl asked. "I know we will, well I don't.. know that we will but I truly believe it." I say to Carl. "You look Tired." Carl says. "I am tired." I say with a small chuckle. "Hey, I'm like you now. We've both been shot. Isn't that weird?" He says looking at me. "Yeah I think your mother would rather hear that we have the same eyes." I say to Carl. "So let's keep that between us." I continued. "Since your in the club now, you get to wear the hat. Didn't you know?" I said placing the hat on Carl's head. "Won't you miss it?" Carl asked. "Well maybe you can let me barrow it from time to time?" "We can share it." Carl response. "Yeah well get some sleep now." I told Carl "Ok, I love you Dad." Carl says. "I love you." I say. Tucking Carl back in. Carl closes his eyes with his new hat on over his eyes. I look Down at the pendent that says 'King County Sheriff' on it and decided that I would give it to Cat later on.

I get up out of my chair after I hear little snores from Carl. I walk into the living room and see Cat sitting on the couch reading a what looks to be a Winnie-the-Pooh book. I sit next to her. "Oh Hi Mr.Rick!" Cat says looking up at me. "Hello Cat." I say softly to her. "What ya reading there?" I asked her. "Oh I'm reading Winnie-the-Pooh!" She says excitement in her voice. "I love Winnie-the-Pooh!" She says excitedly. "Wanna see my blanket?" She asked me. "I would love to see your blanket." I say to her. She suddenly gets up. "I'll be right back." She says running up the stairs. I nod at her. About a minute later she runs down with a teddy bear in her hand and a small Winnie-the-Pooh blanket wrapped on her arm. "I got this on my tenth birthday. From Otis and Patricia!" She says handing me her blanket. "And this." She says holding up the teddy bear. "My Mommy and Daddy got me for my 5th birthday!" She says tilting her head. "Well they are lovely Cat." I said. "Thank you! I don't know what I would do if I lost them. Especially Teddy." She says hugging her teddy closely. I give her a soft smile. "So how's Carl?" She says looking up at me. "He's definitely doing better." I say giving her another soft smile. "Good! I like him." She says looking down. "Well I think he likes you too." I say smiling at her. Before cat can reply Hershel and Lori come in. "Time for bed now Cat." Hershel says to Cat. Shane walks in with Carl's supplies. "Ok Daddy!" Cat says. "Can I say goodnight to Carl?" She asked. Hershel looks at me. We were probably thinking the same thing so I nod at him. (S/N: they were thinking if Carl dies during this they wouldn't forgive themselves for not letting cat tell him goodnight. I hope that makes sense.)
"Sure Sweetie." Lori says. Lori walks over and takes cats hand and they walk into the room Carl is Currently sleeping in.

Cats POV

Me and Lori walk into the room were Carl was. I see him fast asleep with Ricks hat next to him. Looks like it may have fell off his head because it was still on his face a little. "Aww man." I whispered. "What is it sweetie?" Lori asked me looking down at me. "He's asleep." I say sadly. "And I don't want to wake him up." "It's alright sweetie. He has to wake up in a minute anyway." Lori says to me. "Why?" I asked on the verge of tears. (A/N:Awe I miss being 10) "well sweetie, your dad is gonna fix Carl up. So as soon as he's all better y'all can play and hangout together!" She says. "He can hangout with me, Alexis, Becca, and Hannah?" I asked. "Yes sweetie. Who's Alexis, Becca, and Hannah?" She asked me. "Oh they are my best friend that live down the road next to Otis and Patricia!" I say getting a high pitch voice talking about my best friends. "Oh well yes sweetie y'all can all hangout together and play games. So your dad is going to help him." She says to me. "Ok Mrs.Lori!" I say to her. "Ok you ready to say goodnight to Carl?" Lori asked me. I nod my head quickly and run to his side. Lori walks over beside me. "Hey sweetheart, wake up." Lori says to Carl. Carl's blue eyes fluttered one and he smiles at his mom. "Hi Carl!" I say as my chin sits on the side of his bed. "Hey Cat!" "I just wanted to say Goodnight." I say shyly. "Oh Well Goodnight Cat, Sweet Dreams." He says giving me a soft smile. The next thing I did was a bold move but I think he liked it I climbed up the side of the bed and kissed Carl on the cheek. Carl smiles. I then jump down and run out, running to the couch and grabbing my blanket and teddy off the couch. I run back into Carl's room and hand him my blanket. "It always makes me feel better so hopefully it will make you feel better." "Thank you cat." Carl says smiling softly at me. I smile a toothy smile and run out yelling "goodnight everyone!" I get into my room and get dressed onto my night clothes and fall fast asleep.
