Chapter 11; Applejack

"Ashley Miller, will you go to prom with me?"

What should I say?

"I- Um-"

"It's okay if you say no..." Ash tried to say.

"What? No! I'd love to go to prom with you," I smiled as he giggled.

"Perfect. Mind if I take you somewhere?" Ashton asked me. I looked back at Cal and Michael and they both gave me a thumbs up.

"Sure." I agreed. He gave the pizza box to Calum, grabbed my wrist and brought me to his car. Ash smiled at me and drove.

"Wow." I gasped. He took me to a lake near our school. There wasn't much, just a swing beside it but it looked beautiful.

"Yeah, I come here all the time with the boys. You're the first girl I brought here." He blushed, making me smile. He went to the trunk of his car and brought something out. It was 2 swim suites -one for him and one for me- and 2 towels.

"Ash! I can't go swimming now, it's December." I confessed as he smirked at me.

"C'mon Ashley! Live a little," He said, throwing the swim suite to me. He went behind a tree to change and he came out shirtless, wearing trunks. I observed him, seeing there are new scratches on his arm. I've read things about that before, I just didn't think he actually cut. I walked up to him and saw recent cuts, making me frown.

"Why?" I asked him, touching his scars.

"I- Nothing. Can we talk about this some other time? Now put on that bikini so we can jump in the lake together." He smiled at me, making an effort to take my mind off of his cuts.

"Okay, just don't look!" I screamed. He mumbled an 'I wont' as I went into the car to change. I looked back at Ashton and saw him covering his eyes with his hands. I laughed and got out of the car.

"You can look now," I said as he removed his hands. He stared at me, making me a little uncomfortable. "It's not polite to stare!" I screamed at him.

"Sorry! It's not my fault you're so perfect." He intertwined our fingers and brought both of us to the dock. "Ready?" Ash asked me as I nodded.

"One...

Two...

Three!" I screamed, causing us both to plummet into the lake. We swam for a little bit, made some jokes. It's really fun hanging out with Ash. "This is really fun,"I said. No answer.

"Ash?" I asked. Still no answer.

"Ash! Don't scare me!" I screamed. No answer.

"I love you," I heard Ashton whisper into my ear. I turned around and saw him there, smiling at me.

"I think I love you too." I confessed.

"You think?!" He screamed at me, causing me to laugh.

"Alright, alright. I love you too." I smiled. He got up and grabbed a towel.

"C'mon, let's go to the mall." He told me.

"But we're wet," I said, making him laugh. I glared at him, knowing he was thinking of something else.

Once he finally managed to stop laughing he said, "That's why I brought the towels, dummie." It was about 4:30 so I guess we still have time. I got up and put on my clothes.

We arrived at the mall, and the first thing I saw was the pet shop. There were little hamsters in their cage, playing together. I've always wanted a hamster, but I never found the time to actually buy one.

"They're so cute," I said to Ashton, making him observe the hamsters.

"Wanna buy one?" He smirked at me.

"Nah, I don't have money." I replied, making his smile bigger.

"I can pay for it! We can like raise it as our own and name it bob, or whatever name you like." He suggested. I thought about it for a moment and then nodded.

"Sure, but I get to keep it in my house." I said as we entered the shop.

"Hi, we'd like to buy a hamster?" Ash told the sales lady.

"Ah, yes. Choose one there," She pointed at the cage.

"12 Dollars for the hamster, the cage, and the food." She added. Ashton picked up a small, brown hamster."We'll take this one," He agreed. The lady put the hamster inside the cage and handed us a plastic bag with the hamster food inside it.

Ashton gave her the 12 dollars and we left. "So what's his name?" I asked.

"I decided to name it Applejack. Unless you want to change it. It's a character from my little pony," He replied.

"Applejack's a perfect name." I agreed. We walked back to the parking lot and got into Ash's car.

The Next Day

"Ashley, can I ask you something?" Tristan said to me. He asked me if I wanted to go with him to the park, and I politely said yes.

"Hit me." I said to him.

"Will you go to prom with me?" I had no idea what to say. Ashton already asked me and I just don't know how to reject Tristan.

"No, sorry..." I got my backpack and ran back to my house. I went to the refigirator to get some food and I saw that my mom left me a note.

Ashley,

I'll be out for a while, so I'll be home late. There's 20 dollars on my bedside table so you can order pizza. Love you!

I sighed and went upstairs. I felt really bad. I didn't even give tris an explanation. So I just decided to play with Applejack for a little bit. I heard a knock on the door so I put Applejack in his cage and went downstairs. I opened the door to see Ashton Irwin.

"Can I hang here for a bit?" He asked me. I nodded.

"Come with me upstairs, Applejack's there." We both went to my bedroom and Ash started to play with him.

"He has your eyes!" Ashton said, trying to sound like I'm actually Applejack's mom.

"Oh, shut up." I chuckled and sat beside him. He layed down and let Applejack walk around his stomach.

"You're an idiot," I laughed.

"But I'm you're favorite idiot" He replied. And that's when it hit me.

I've fallen for Ashton Irwin.
