Dean held Cas hand while they were walking through purgatory. It was nothing new even if Benny was a bit surprised when Dean kissed Cas when they found the angel. Later he said that he thought that Cas was a girl but he had no problem with them.
After one fight Cas gets hurt and Dean remembers that he can lose Cas anytime but there's one thing he wants to do before that happens.

Dean talked with Benny about it and they decided that Benny could do the ceremony but first Dean had to propose.

After Dean talked to Benny they took a break because Dean was still human and needed sleep.
While Benny made a fire in the cave they found, Cas looked out for monsters. Dean followed him out of the cave and stood next to him.
Cas looked to Dean and asked him "what's wrong?" Dean fidget and looked at his hands "I don't really know how... Well fuck it! I'm just gonna do it!" he looked up and took Cas' hands "Cas, we had a long journey from hell to purgatory and I hope it's gonna be even longer! I also hope we will always be together through it. But let's do it as husbands. So Castiel, will you marry me?" while he said the last words he went down on one knee and looked up at Cas. Cas stared at him with an open mouth and if there were any monster it wouldn't have a problem because they were trapped in their own world.
After Cas didn't answer for a few minutes Dean stood up and said "I'm sorry i thought it was a good idea because we could always die and I wanted to marry you before I die for good and this was also really bad because I have no ring and..." Cas stopped his rambling "wait you don't have to be sorry and also in my opinion this was perfect and also my answer is yes!" "wait really? You really want to marry me?" "yes! And now shut up!" Cas kissed Dean so he couldn't talk anymore but Dean actually didn't wanted to.
A few minutes later they walked back into the cave and when Benny saw them both smiling he knew that Cas said yes.

The wedding was the next evening (because Cas insisted that Dean had to sleep and there was the problem they they couldn't stay at one place for to much time).
They found a clearing that was surrounded by some big rocks and on one side was a really high stone wall.
Benny stood in front of the stone wall and Dean and Cas had some rocks behind them. Benny held two rings he made from the bones of their latest monster without the other two knowing.
Benny started "we stay here so you can marry since I have no idea how weddings normally occur I hope you have vows"
Dean and Cas chuckled and then Dean started "after you saved me from hell and after your entrance when I first saw you, I was pretty impressed and I had really respect - which I still have to clarify that -" this took a light chuckle from the other two "after we accidentally freed Lucifer and we met Raphael I realized that I really like you. When we locked Lucifer back up and I went to Lisa for some change I realized that I missed you and that I wished that you were there instead of Lisa. That was the moment I realized that maybe I love you. I was happy that you returned that feelings. Even if we had our problems and a lot of handicaps we made it through it. Together!"
Dean took one of the rings and slided it on Cas' finger.
Now Cas came with his vow " when I found you in hell I couldn't believe that you were suppose to be the one to open the first seal because your soul was so bright - and still is - and then I touched you and was lost. While I rebuild you I fell even more in love because you were so perfect - are perfect - and also beautiful that it was just impossible. Since I know you I did some things that had a bad outcome but you're still by my side and I'm glad about that. I don't want to do more bad things but at least I know that if that happens I still have you. Even if the world will stand against me I still have you and you still have me, no matter what happens. I love you and I want to be with you forever."
Cas took the other ring and placed it one Dean's finger.
Benny ended it all with some last words "with that I pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss the groom." with that Dean and Cas kissed.

After the wedding they still went through purgatory but Cas and Dean did it as husbands!
