Chapter 10:

Chapter 10: The Visit

Jake's POV

I wake up to hear Luna singing in the shower. I chuckle and get out of bed. I stretch and throw on a shirt. I go downstairs to see Luna's mom and dad in the kitchen.

I say "Good morning."

Her dad says "Good morning Jake. Where's Luna?"

"She's in the shower."

He says "Did you ask her yet?"

I say "No but me and her have talked about it. I'm gonna wait and do something big for when I pop the question."

Her mom says "Jake, you are so great to Luna. You make her the happiest girl ever."

Luna walks in the kitchen and says "What's going on in here?"

I smile and say "Just talking about how you sing in the shower."

She rolls her eyes and playfully smacks me in the chest.

Luna's POV

I roll my eyes and softly smack Jake in the chest. I look at my mom and dad and they were both looking at me weirdly.

I say "But seriously, what's going on?"

Dad says "The reason that I was gone was because I was taking care of something involving your sister...."

Mom sighs and looks away so I get even more confused.

He says "I went to visit your sister so we could discuss getting her released. Her doctor explained that she has gotten better. She always tells her doctor that she just wants to come home and start a bond with her family."

I stand there in shock and say "Please tell me they're letting her come home."

Dad says "We arranged for you to go and visit her until we know anything about her release."

I smile and say "When do I visit her?"

Mom says "Tomorrow afternoon."

I say "That's great!"

Dad says "Now. Me and your Mother are going on a business trip. Here's you some money for food. We will be back next week."

I say "Okay. I love you."

I hug them and they go get their bags. Dad has Jake help him carry the bags so mom doesn't have to. I go upstairs and look around my room. I realize how nasty it is and start to clean it a little.

Jake comes in the room and says " Are you seriously cleaning?"

I say "Yes because my room is nasty."

He laughs at me and says "How about we go hiking?"

I say "Really?"

He says "I'm serious. Let's go hiking. We don't have anything else to do today."

I smile and say "Can you wait downstairs so I can clean up the room a little bit?"
