The last year of college

                     Connie's pov
I was sitting on my bed against looking at the varsity jacket at the end of the bed. (Underlines are thoughts) I miss him so much should I put it on I guess so.
I grabbed the jacket and put it on smelling it. "I wish could I could see you Steven"I said to my self smelling the jacket. Then my phone buzzed. "Hey mom"I said. "Hey Connie hows it going"my mom said. "Grate I'm going to "video call you"I said transferring to the video call. "Connie you look so good"my mom said. "Mom you saw me just yesterday"i said. "Are you wearing that jacket again"my mom said. "Maybe"I said looking away from the phone. "You miss him a lot"my mom said. "You can tell can't you"I asked pulling my hand up to my face. "I know you do he is your best friend"my mom said as she grabbed her water. "He hasn't texted in a while"I said pulling my knees up. "So I heard Jeff is at the same school as you" my mom said. Me and my mom finished the call.
(Time skip to a couple months later)
Me and Jeff were in my dorm chilling. "So Connie how are your lessons going"Jeff asked grabbing my hand. "Grate but the stuff they are teaching me I may not have to teach"I said holding his hand. "Why do you say that"Jeff asked pulling me closer to him. "I was planning on teaching at little home school but I haven't asked Steven or pearl"I said hugging him. "Babe don't worry you can ask them."he said as he kissed my cheek. "I came here back from summer to my senior year in college and got almost nothing but advantages smarter and a boyfriend"I said looking away. "It will be fine" he said and brought me into a hug "you still have it"he said getting up. "Of course I do my best friend gave it to me it reminds me of what all me and have been through together"I said then my phone buzzed. Steven had texted me. Text:Is it ok if I come and visit it's been for ever. "You still talk to him what did I say"Jeff yelled. "He is my best friend"I said. "I'm your boyfriend"he yelled. "He was my first friend"I yelled back. Then he slapped me across the face. "You should know better"he said turning around. "Get out"I mumble holding back the sobs. "What was that"he said mad. "GET OUT CUZ NOW WE ARE OVER "I yelled. He stormed out slamming the door. I grabbed my phone and texted Steven back. "Sure there is a key on top of the lamp."I sent I began to cry as I grabbed the jacket Steven had gave me and put it on and just sobbed.
Stevens pov
I got the key and unlock the door and opened the door. Before I could walk in Connie jumped on me and I could hear her crying. "Connie are you ok"I said as I just hugged her and then she pulled me in. "Why are you crying" I asked as I looked in her eyes. "J-Jeff"She said starting to cry again. "What happened"I asked trying to wipe her tears away but more would just appear. "We were sitting right here and we were talking and then we hugged and he saw the jacket and he wanted me to get rid of it but I didn't want to the we argued then t-then"She said starting to cry more. "Then what"I said hugging her agin. "He slapped me then we broke up" she said digging her face in my shoulder. "Hey it's ok I'm here and I will never hurt you"I said hugging her tighter. "Thanks"She said looking up. I don't know what but for some reason I kissed her forehead and then we fused.
Stevonnies pov
"Connie I'm so sorry"I said. "It's ok Steven this is exactly what I need"I said and I spent a few hours together hugging myself. "Connie I'm ba-Who are you" Connie's roommate said. "RUBY" I said jumping up. "How do you know my name"ruby said. "Umm give me a sec"I said then unfused.
Connie pov
"Connie who is he"Ruby asked. "Ruby meet Steven my boy best friend"I said. "Oh so you are Steven"Ruby asked. "Yep I have known Connie since I was 13"Steven said. "Cool"Ruby said. "Yea she's a great friend and person"Steven said. "So Con where's Jeff"Ruby asked. I just got really uncomfortable. "Um he left"I said rubbing my cheek. "Ok but somethings up I can tell"Ruby said crossing her arms. "Connie do you want me to-"Steven said then I cut him off. "I'm sorry Steven and Ruby me and Jeff got in an argument and he slapped me and broke up."I said. "Well I told that boy if he hurts you I will kill him"Ruby said. "It's nice that my ex's sister is on my side" I said. "You better be"ruby said.
