Raven

A girl born into this world on June 16, 1998, Raven Cecilia Harper was a normal girl that just wanted to be loved by her family and respected by her fellow peers. She met the love of her life in her sophomore year of high school, his name was Joshua Williams and he and Raven were madly in love. This is Raven's story before she wanted to change her life forever if only she knew what she was getting herself into when she signed up for the program which got her into the Box. This is her story before her life changed forever.

"Raven, wake up, you're gonna be late for school!!!" My mom shouts from the bottom of the stairs. I am so groggy from sleep. I get up though, excited to see Josh this morning before school, he drives me every morning. Sometimes it's the only time we get to spend together. He and I have really busy schedules most days so him driving me to school is my favorite part of the day most days. Sometimes we even stop in our private spot, so we can make out. I'm hoping we do that today, I am craving his touch. It's been almost a week since we last even kissed.

I get up and walk into my bathroom, I turn on the showerhead and take my PJs off from last night, they are drenched in sweat. I get into the shower and wash as fast as I can. I get out, dry myself, and walk back into my bedroom to put on my outfit and do my hair. Today my outfit is a black top with yoga pants and the top has cute cross-hatching in the back to show little peek-a-boos of my back. I quick-walk down the stairs and go into the kitchen to grab some breakfast, I grab the pancakes that are leftovers from yesterday and warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds. I sit down at the dining room table and snarf my food down, as soon as the last bite is in my mouth, I hear a car horn honk outside, Joshua. I rush out the door and find him waiting in the driveway, I rush into his arms and hug him tightly, he literally lifts me up into the air because he is so excited to see me, I kiss him and let his tongue play with mine before we let go so we won't be late to school.

We arrive at the school building, five minutes before class is supposed to start, and am relieved when I make it into the classroom the second before the bell rings. I'm out of breath because of the fact that I ran all the way here. Josh has a different class than me in the morning so I kissed him goodbye and bolted for the classroom. My first class is History. We're talking about the American Revolution today, bore. I start to doze off and think of Josh and me in the parking lot making out, god I wish that was where I was instead of listening to my history teacher go on and on about the "Intolerable Acts" and the "Boston Tea Party/Boston Massacre" I've learned this content enough times to ace this quiz right here in now, but can I take the quiz, no. I finally doze off and just ignore my teacher for the rest of the class period.

School lets out around three and I am relieved when the bell rings for the last period, it's been a long day. Josh pulls up next to the curb and I hop in and kiss him before he takes off. We're going to his house to have a study/ makeout (but don't tell our parents) session because his dad won't be home and we could use some time alone. We agreed on it this morning in the car-ride over here. I texted my mom to make sure it was okay, and she gave me the thumbs up around lunchtime. God, we really need this, we've been drifting and I know we both feel it.

Josh pulls up to the curb of the sidewalk next to his house and I get out. I walk up the front sidewalk and walk in the door, take my shoes off and my coat and race up to Josh's room, hoping he'll chase after me. He does just that, he tackles me on his bed and kisses me instantly, I roll over so that I'm on top of him, and I sigh into Josh's mouth. I want him so bad right now, but I know that we have some serious homework that we need to get done and I don't want it to wait until tonight.

"Josh, we need to stop, I'll never last long if we keep going, we've got a lot of work to do," I whisper into his mouth, kissing him one more time before rolling off of him and grabbing our bookbags from in front of his door. Josh stands up and sits on the carpeted floor. I smile at him hoping he's not mad at me for stopping him, we sit there in silence and start on the bucket-load of homework we got assigned today.
