Chapter three
Edwards pov
My phone rang I saw Bella's phone number and panicked. I answered on the first ring I quickly asked "what's wrong" but I only got a whispered "help me" then nothing but shallow breathing. I yell into the phone no answer. My family is by my side in a flash. I drop the phone quickly and we rush out the door. I can't think straight my Bella is in danger I snarl all eyes turn to me but I don't care I just push my self faster. I arrive at Bella's house first because I'm faster than the rest of my family. She was laying face down near the sidewalk what made me pause was that she only had shorts and a bra on. I couldn't take it my eyes turned the deepest black and venom filled my mouth I was going to kill her father but first Bella. Carlisle and Esme crouched down next to me while Rose, Jasper, Alice, and Emmett all took the perimeter. We carefully roll Bella over and what I see make me jump back in shock everyone gasps. Bella is covered in bruises and has two long gashes from a knife one on her face and the other going from her shoulder to her hip it was deep. I was shaking with rage. We heard someone yell Bella and her dad came stumbling down the porch steps the smell of alcohol fills the air. He froze when he saw us everyone but Carlisle and Esme got in a defensive crouch I launched my self at him slamming him onto the ground. He starts begging for me not to hurt him. I lean dangerously close to his face and ask "is that what Bella does when you beat her?what kind of man hits a child a sorry excuse for one" I growl. I hear a cough I turn around quickly to see Bella looking at me. She whispers "bring him over here." I pick him up by his arm like he did her that one day. I kicked his knees from under him and he lands next to Bella. She looks him in the eye and asks "What did I ever do for you not to love me?" Then she punches him in the eye. I burst out laughing but quickly stop when she slumps to the ground unconscious. Damn she is feisty I can see she put up one hell of a fight. I gently get in the back of the ambulance along with Carlisle . Esme and the rest of the family are waiting for the police to arrive. I just stare at Bella's beautiful face knowing she will never be hurt by him again.
