        I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off which must mean its already 5am. Im starting my senior year today at a new school in Port Townsend not that far from my old home and city Seattle. My alarm goes off again startling me, this time I shut it off. I remain in bed though trying to calm my small nerves before they turn into a full blown anxiety attack. I take some deep breaths to help.

        I didn't always have anxiety attacks. In fact I used to think they were just an excuse people used to get out of doing things they were to afraid of doing, but I found out I was very wrong and they suck. I focus on small things like the sound my fan makes and the sweet smell of my candle that burnt out in the middle of the night. My body quickly calms down and I step out of bed.

        My bare feet hit my cold wooden floor instantly sending chills through my body calming any extra nerves that I still had.

        I pad to my closet and pick out my outfit. I decide on a cream turtle neck sweater the I slightly tuck into my  mom jeans with a black belt around them. I head to my bathroom to finish getting ready I look in the mirror and sigh at the girl I see. My skin is paler than usual my lips are dry and my eyes are puffy from lack of sleep. I appear almost sickly. I wash my face and brush my teeth regretting getting dressed first then apply some light make to make myself look presentable. I finish in the bathroom by putting some products in my long and wavy hair and tucking it behind my ears. I head back to my bedroom and put on some socks along with my black chunky chelsea boots and gather my school items. I check my ojine and see it's 6:00.

         I grab my car keys and head downstairs. I check the whiteboard on my fridge to see the words

"HAVE A GOOD FIRST DAY KIDDO LOVE YOU!"

I smile at my fathers sloppy hand writing being able to tell he was in a rush for work when he wrote it. He always left a small note no matter what. I erase his little message and head out the door, getting into my car I immediately turn on my heater and drive off.
