Yoona’s Pov
Ms Jung and I went to the restaurant inside this company. I already knew this place because Seulgi toured me around just a while ago. I’m not sure enough if it’s possible that the company has a restaurant inside but then Seulgi explain to me that this restaurant was built because Ms Jung is a considerate person. She said Ms Jung doesn’t want her employee to walk or maybe go far just to buy their food because going somewhere just for food can consume some of their time that instead they are already eating, they still have to go outside to buy food so Ms Jung as a considerate person built a restaurant inside the company for her employee to eat properly without thinking that they don’t have enough time to eat.
She’s really a kind person.
As we entered inside, tons of eyes were looking at the entrance where Ms Jung and I are. Some has a mouth agape and some has confused look. Curiosity kills the cat they say, so I turn to look at my back to know who/what are they looking at. I wanna know if they are looking at someone, perhaps a celebrity or some important person but there’s no one at the back. Then I tilted my head to my side as reality hits me and that these people aren’t looking for someone else but Ms Jung.
Ms Jung has this unpleasant aura on her face she doesn’t look amaze that everyone was staring at her. We remained standing for another minute and eyes was still on us. I feel uneasy as why are they looking at me also then I remembered I’m new here. Maybe that’s why they have a confused look.
“Come on now. Time is running.” Ms Jung mumbled then she sighed before she start walking with a straight body. Wow. She really looks different from how I met her yesterday and now. I silently followed her from behind and we head to the counter it’s a self-service restaurant so you need to get your own food then pay at the counter. It’s more like a cafeteria to me with a high class dish
As we passed by so many people, they are still looking at us. No one dares to talk not even a single word.
Right at the middle, I spotted Seulgi with Ms Victoria and others who I don’t know. They are also staring confusedly then Seulgi smiled at me and I smiled back and continue to follow Ms Jung at the counter.
Ms Jung held me the tray and I hesitate to take it because I’m so ashamed of my self that I don’t really have money right now.
“I already told you I’m gonna pay for it, so take whatever you want and don’t hesitate because we need resistance in our body so we could work properly. I bit the inside of my cheek ass I took the tray on her hand. She start getting her food but I don’t even budge and she took the tray in my hand again. “What do you want to eat?” She asked but I’m so shy to even answer her. “Tell me what you want?”
“I-I’m not a f-finicky eater.” I whispered almost impossible for her to hear but I saw her nod then start putting food on the tray. Then afterwards she held it back to me then she start filling her tray also with different food. Then we went to the side to pay our food. She’s doing too much for me. That I don’t even know if I can repay her back.
I heard her sigh beside me as we face all her employee again. Everyone was offering their seat to Ms Jung and I but Ms Jung told them its fine the Seulgi offered the space to their table. I want to take it since Seulgi is the only one I got close but then I turned to Ms Jung and she nodded at me. I’m about to seat then I remember if Ms Jung is going to seat with us. I can’t let her eat seat by herself, so I pulled the chair next to Seulgi and asked her politely to take it. There’s a hesitation on her but then I guide her to the chair and she sat down. And I took the other chair across from her next to the guy that I don’t know.
I heart a few whispered from somewhere but I don’t quite get what they are whispering. Ms Jung started eating her food silently same with the others and I did the same.
I’m curious if this place always this quiet. Is no one allow to talk? Is that even possible?
I jump lightly as I felt a hand rest on my arm “You okay?” the guy beside me asked as he lingered his hand on my arm. I look at him then to his hand then back at him. That’s when he took his hand off of me. “Sorry.” He said then I just gave him a light smile then I tilted my head in font Ms Jung was also staring at me then Seulgi and Ms Victoria, I gave then each and assuring smile before went back to eat. We all ate silently again. God! This silent! I know I’m a quiet person but I prefer a noise environment than this one. It’s like on the movie A Quiet Place that when you made a noise you’re dead. Scary.
“Woah. Ms Jung?” We all tilted our head to where the voice came and there standing Suho. He was one of the manager as I remember. “You’re here. What a surprise.” He said as he was standing there unbelievably was written on his face. Why is he acting like Ms jung never been here. I tilted my head to Ms Jung and she was eating quietly. Did she hear Mr Suho or not. She looks like she didn’t though. I tilted my head almost instant when a chair made a noise that’s when Mr Suho took a chair somewhere ad put it on my side. “Hi Yoona.” Mr Suho beamed me a smile
“H-Hi.” I said back
“Glad you are mingling with everyone.” I just smile at him awkwardly. I hope he would notice that I’m uncomfortable on his stare.
“I would suggest you not to bother her because lunch will end any minute.” Ms Jung interfere. Mr Suho suddenly stop his attempt and rubbed the back of his neck as he stay silently on his chair.
Lunch was done and we all went back to our respective work space. Ms Jung went back to her office and here I am. So bored that I don’t have anything to do. I’m hella bored and I don’t know what to do.
I decided to just listened to music so I took my air pod and played some music. This will help kill my boring day.

I woke up by someone tapping it’s hand on my shoulder. As I open my eyes Ms Jung face was so dangerously close to my own that I pulled right away and I ended up lying on the floor because I fell down.
“Oh my gosh! You okay?” Ms jung went immediately on my side and help me to stand up. After standing up I dusting my clothes. “Sorry. It was my fault.” I looked up and saw how guilty she was and I immediately told her that not my fault. And told her I’m a clumsy girl sometimes.
“Time to go home.” She said and I stared at her confusedly. “It’s already 9 pm perhaps you didn’t know.” My eyes turned wide and my body move on it’s on to get my phone and check the time and my mouth fell when I saw the time. How come I slept for 7 hours straight? I remember last glancing at my phone it was quarter to 2 then now it was already 9 at night? I immediately apologized at Ms Jung for sleeping while on work. She just laughed at me for freaking out and we are now heading home together.
“Yoon—
“Yes Ms Jung?!” I answered right away. Then she laughed again while focusing her eyes on the road.
“Calm down Gosh!” She said then chuckled again. She can’t blame me that I’m acting this way. If you just know how afraid I am that my own boss have known that I slept for 7 hours straight at work. I even told her not to fire me and she said she won’t because she told me that there’s nothing to do and she already expected that scene a while ago. But I’m still afraid though. “Can you get my bag at the back and take out the ipad.” I did what she told and took her bag on the back and bring out her ipad. “You will see on the note all the basic things you need to know to all our shareholders and business partners. I want you to study that because starting tomorrow, You’ll go with me to every meeting, every event and gatherings and you’ll meet a lot of people. There’s another note there about my schedule for the whole day. Sometimes I forget the other things because of too much work and I want you to remind me of it. And the third note indicate your specific work as my secretary. Jut study everything, okay?”
“Yes maam.” I start briefing on all the notes inside the ipad and on the first one. Different face with their Identity and what are they to the company.
“I’m not telling you to be the perfect Secretary because I knew you are new to this thing so I only want you to do your best if you still struggling or you have a lot of things that you don’t understand, you know I’m here to guide you and help you out, just tell me, okay?”
We locked eyes for a second and she went back focusing on the road after I beam her a sincere smile. Well goodluck to me.
