Please listen to song (On the side. >) that inspired this... It's angry in a way, as is The Dance.

They danced.

Power swelling in their veins, sweat filling their pores

It was magical thing, the incisive twirling and stepping and jumping.

Every movement was beautiful, smooth, and graceful. It was art.

An art that could only be created with a body; a heart.

The duet enticed the pretty, young girl who watched in awe as the man twirled the woman around the large stage.

Even at her juvenile age, she knew it was beautiful.

The song was angry and uplifting at the same time.

The pair moved fast, their feet in step, their eyes on each other.

It was always quick, always on time.

The man Swirled the woman, her arms above her head as she spun away and moved her feet  fluidly.

She drifted away, as he moved towards her.

They pushed back and forth in their movements, an endless war.

It was a chase.

When they collided again, the man lifted the woman above his head, making the girl's eyes go wide.

His hands on her waist, she slid to the floor, her head down.

The man pulled her to her feet, and spun her towards him.

Grabbing one hand, leaving the other on her side, she placed an arm around his neck.

They moved together again, pivoting around the stage

Then, in one final movement, he took her hand, stepped away, spun her once, and dropped to one knee as she lifted a leg and balanced it in the air.

There was no way to perfectly describe the dance, or the fast-paced song.

It was beautiful.

The girl had never seen anything like it.

It was her first ballet.

And she already knew it was her dream to be the woman upon the stage, being lifted to the skies.

It was her dream to twirl around a stage and tell a story.

She did not yet understand the moral of the dance, but she knew one day she would create her own.

She smiled to herself, and looked up at the stage, applauding and wishing for more.
