Side story #2

For the sake of the story, on how Jia and I broke up and how I knew that Jho's father is coming to New York, let me enlighten you to the events on my visit to Philippines after my second surgery.

"Bei?" Jhoana called me from outside of my room and I asked her to come in. "Hi." She said with all smiles.

"Hello." I smiled back as I sat on my bed.

"How are you?" She asked me.

"Better, you know I just got surgery cause it's becoming a hobby."

She laughed on my joke. "Sira." She sat beside me.

"Why are you here?" I asked her.

"Ayaw mo ba?"

I chuckled. "Hindi naman, I mean..."

"Galing ako Batangas, I got my mom's luggage." She laughed and cut me from speaking. "Diba punta kaming New York. Kasama si Papa. Pero he'll stay there."

I looked at her in askance. "Oh, really? Why?"

"Remember I mentioned you he wanted to have condo business? Back in college."

"Yeah."

"He's fulfilling it. He's building multiple condo's there. He's actually looking for a partner. A firm that can help him." I looked at her in a with a smile. "Wait CR lang ako."

And just like that I found my new business partner.

She stayed with me that day, which is also Jia's coming back day. She just got back from her second Thailand camp and she immediately went here to check on me. It will be the first time that she will see me walking after my surgery, besides video call.

I saw a phone lit up. I thought it was mine so I pick it up but it was Jia's.

I looked at the phone and I saw a text from a guy I work with before.

Miguel:
'Jia, babe. I miss you already. Hope you can work things out with Bea and come back to me. I love you.'

My whole world crashed in front of me.

"Hey." Jia said and greeted me with a hug. "I miss you so much. Sorry I need to go to the CR. Long ride." I wasn't sure how to react on seeing her after what I just read.

"Ji." I said in a plain and low voice manner.

"Uhm, no I missed you too?" She said disappointed as she sat in front of me. We are at the study cause I was working when she finally talked to me.

"Jia..." I called her and held her hand.

"Be..." Said by the person who just entered. 

Jhoanna.

She used to visit me after knowing that I was back because of the surgery. She heard from Ate Ly the shooting incident and for the first time, after a long time, we catched up.

Just catched up guys. Nothing happened.

Anyway back to the story.

She stopped when she realized that Jia was with me. "Uh, sorry Jia, I saw you walking to the kitchen so I thought you were still there." She looked at me and then to Jia. "I'll leave na Bei."

Jia nodded slowly to her and then looked at me. She spoke after she heard a click on the door. "She's still here." She said in amusement.

She did volunteered on taking care of me, but I declined.
