"Sorry na. Hindi ko naman alam. Nalaman ko lang kay Ate Leah. Sorry, wala din akong cake na dala. Wala akong pera eh,"

He hugged me tighter as he lets my tears wet his shirt. I cried until no tears finally came out from my eye. Parang naipon lahat tapos ngayon ko lang nabuhos.

"Huy. Bakit ka ba umiiyak? Ayaw mo ba nung flavor nung ice cream? Favorite ko kasi 'to eh," I punched his chest lightly. Ang daldal niya! Nakakainis. I appreciated it. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako naiyak. I don't cry... I mean wala naman dahilan para umiyak ako but now.. It seems like I was crying for a whole new reason.

"Aray ko. Ano ba gusto mong gawin ko? Gusto mo magbreak dance ako sa harap mo? Ano? Kaya ko naman. Wag ka lang umiyak," Sage's voice. It's calming. Nakayakap pa din siya sa akin while my face was buried on his chest.

He pushed me away para silipin ang mukha ko. I looked away as I wipe my tears. I definitely look like shit now.

"Halika nga. Bakit ka ba kasi umiiyak? Dahil ba walang handa noong birthday mo?" Sage cupped my cheeks and used his thumb to wipe away my tears. I was so close to his face... his eyes were coffee brown.. and it was the kind of eyes that melts you.

"Nakakainis ka, alam mo ba 'yon?" Sabi ko at kumawala ako sa hawak niya sa cheeks ko. Sage stepped back and held his chest as if he was so shocked.

"Bakit parang kasalanan ko? Wala naman ako ginagawa ha. Binilhan nga kita ng ice cream kasi nitong mga nakaraang araw, ang lungkot mo. Tinanong kita kay Ate Leah kung okay ka lang kasi ayaw naman kita kausapin... mukha ka kasi lagi kang manghahampas o manununtok. Tapos ayon, sinabi ni Ate Leah na birthday mo pala nung nakaraang araw. Wala kasi ako 'non dito, nasa barn ako.. Sorry na. Ano bang ginawa ko?" Gusto kong matawa sa kaniya dahil sa sinasabi niya. He looked so apologetic. Did he seriously think na kasalanan niya?

"You don't have to. My birthday is already done." It's true though. Thanks god, my friends didn't forget about me. They greeted me through videocall and told me that they have their gifts na daw.

"Eh bakit ang lungkot mo pa din?" This persistent man. Ganoon niya ba ako kagusto? Pero bakit nga ba? Why am I sad? Right. Levi. Fucking Levi.

"I'm not sad. How can you say that?"

"Ah sige. Kunwari hindi mo binasa 'yung t-shirt ko dahil sa luha mo. Hindi ka kasi malungkot di'ba?" He wiggled his brows at me and I just punched his stomach. Gosh! He's ripped! Naramdaman ko na ang tigas nung nasuntok ko.

"Uy naramdaman niya abs ko. Huy abs ko lang 'yan," He wiggled his eyebrows kaya sinampal ko siya ng mahina. Gusto ko sanang lakasan but binati niya ako kaya mabait ako sakaniya ng slight.

"Abs? You call that abs? Dream on," I rolled my eyes at kinuha ang ice cream pint sa kamay niya. Nilagpasan ko siya but I stopped from walking and glanced at him again. I caught him smiling while scratching the back of his head.

"Thanks for this, Sage. I really appreciate it," I said before walking away. So much for a day. Atleast something good happened, I get to eat one pint of ice cream on my room.

When I crashed into my bed, kinuha ko na 'yung ice cream and I started eating it. It's double dutch flavored ice cream. Masarap naman but gelato are much more delicious. I was busy devouring my ice cream when my phone rang.

It was a unknown number so I ended it. Malay ko ba kung sino 'yon. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, I mean who even?

I continued eating my ice cream when my phone notified. I checked it and I saw the same number calling earlier but now it's a text.
