Chapter 21 - Adorable

I hugged Chelsea tightly because I really missed her. She's one of my close friends but she moved to London with her family abour 3 years ago. She was the one who helped me get through my tough and sad life after my mom passed away.

She's the best but she and.. Jayson never get along.

It's a mystery that no one knew except for them both. Despite them hating each other, she hung out with me most of the time even though me and Jace had to separate Jayson and her away from each other.

"I'm back for good now." She announced and I squealed in happiness. "I'm so happy for you!"

"You never told me you have a boyfriend now." She said and I chuckled. "My dad set me up with him and you know.. we ended up getting along well." I said and she looked down to my leg and arm.

"What happened?"

"Car crash." I said and she looked at me angrily.

"You really need to stop racing!" She said angrily as she looked at my bandages. I know I don't look cute in this dress with those bandages on my leg and arm but I couldn't care less.

"I can't believe you just roast you boyfriend earlier, what happened?"

"He was talking to a beautiful woman and didn't even bother to find me first." I hissed and Chelsea laughed. "You're jealous? Really?"

"What? I can't?" I looked at her annoyed.

"You can but this is so not like you. You always have guys kissing on your feet. You will never let yourself.. you know.." I sighed hearing her statement. I'm whipped when it comes to Noah. "Don't.. remind me again."

"You're whipped." She said and I glared at her. When I was about to protest, Noah put his arm around my waist locking it. "She is.." Noah said.

"I'm not." I hissed.

"Well.. well.. look who's here.. the devil's bride." Jayson smirked when he saw Chelsea. Chelsea's eyes turned dark when she saw Jayson.

"I came back to take your life." Chelsea said coldly and if looks can kill, Jayson surely will end up in his grave already. "I never thought you would be this considerate, Chelsea."

"You two better not make a scene." I warned them both and they turned to me in unison. "Why would I?" Chelsea said as she turned to Jayson. Her eyes were filled with anger and so was Jayson.

"There's a fine line between love and hate." Jace joined and I pushed Jayson before they both pull out a knife and start killing each other. "Jaclyn!" Jayson hissed at me for defending Chelsea more.

"What?"

"Okay.. Let's just go." Noah said trying to pull me away but I ignored him. "You better leave her alone, Jayson. I mean it.. she just came back. You two can kill each other later!"

"Jaclyn.." Noah called as he tried to pull me away. I turned to Chelsea and she kept looking at Jayson angrily. Jace ended up pulling Jayson away.

"Jaclyn.." Noah called and I pushed him. "Go talk to that woman!" I was annoyed by him tonight.

"Are you really going to act like this, Jaclyn?" Noah asked me in a serious tone. I turned to him and he's already looking at me seriously. "What?"

"I was looking for you and she called me. I can't greet an old friend? So you're going to be mad at me throughout the night?" I pouted immediately.

"I'm going to this event for you when I never even like this type of event." He added. "Okay, I'm going to leave  you two." Chelsea said and I looked at her apologeticly. She smiled at me and walked away.

"I don't like this attitude, Jaclyn. You can be jealous but you can't push me like that." He said as he held both of my hands. "I told you that she's an old friend, just like you and Chelsea."

"But I don't think she thinks you're her old friend. I know.. I can sense it!" I said because it was pretty clear she's flirting with him. She even trailed her finger on his back when they hugged.

"Baby, you're Jaclyn Rae. I thought you said that I will be the luckiest man alive to date you. You're beautiful, stunning, adorable.. and the list goes one. Why are you jealous?" I melted instantly when he said that.

"Because you're.. you!" I stomped my feet annoyed. I was pissed at him but now he can instantly make me melt.

"I'm the one who should be worried. Look at you tonight.. you look beautiful. I should be.. the one who feel nervous." He said as he held my upper arms looking at me from head to toe.

"I hate you."

"Really?" He raised his eyebrows.

"No."

"That's my girl." He said as he cupped my face giving me a sweet kiss on my lips. I smiled and hugged him tightly.

"Don't be like that again, okay? I'm here to spend time with you not to fight you." He said as he touched my nose and I nodded. "You're the best."

"So.. what happened with Chelsea and Jayson? I thought I almost witness world war 3." Noah's statement made me laugh. "Them together will always be a world war 3."

"They hate each other that much?" Noah asked and I nodded.

"I don't know what happened exactly between them but they always want to kill each other everytime they meet. Me and Jace have to be alert everytime we're around them. They always find a way to insult each other."

"Interesting.." Noah commented and I looked around trying to find Chelsea but she's nowhere to be found. Maybe she's mingling with other guests.

"You're coming home with me tonight." Noah stated and I bit my lips before turning my head to him. "Is that so?"

"You're too adorable, I want to take you home." Noah said as he kissed the top of my head.

"You really know how to make me crazy.." I said in a small tone and he smirked.
