My alarm went buzzing off at 7:00. I sleepily forced my hand to move up and tap the snooze button. Today was the day that I go back to school after having the summer holidays. I pulled back the covers, revealing my warm body to cool air around me, goose bumps slowly forming on my skin, making my whole body shiver. Using all the force and energy I had inside of me, I pushed myself up from my bed and lazily walked over to the lamp hidden away on my desk in the corner of my room, rubbing my eyes as soon as I flicked the switch, the light slightly blinding me. I walked over to my wardrobe and picked out the same boring uniform. Placing them on my bed, I grabbed my lavatory things and made my way to the toilet.
After getting dressed and getting my books together, I came downstairs and sat on my phone going through my social media accounts and answering back to any emails or messages. Soon after, I went and got my breakfast, a bowl of shredded wheat and a small glass of orange juice and sat until half past 7 eating and drinking or just watching YouTube. At 7:30, I went into the bathroom downstairs and started to brush my teeth and then I went on to do my make up. I always think that when you go back to school, you should dress to impress because we all know that soon enough through the school year, everyone just gives up on trying to look good (apart from the 'popular girls').
At 8:00, I made my way down to bus stop, listening to music as I went. If anyone ever went through my playlist, they'd think I was depressed or a genuine sad person because I listen to sad, slow, "depressing" songs, although I do love the fast songs, especially when my day is going "perfect".
Reaching my destination, I pulled the earphones from my ears and wrapped them around my phone, then placing my phone in my pocket. I felt a hand on my shoulder and the same familiar voice that always made me smile. I turned around to see my best friend, Charlotte there. She grinned at me, as me at her.
"How you feeling, mate?" She asked shaking her head and laughing.
"Let's just say I could be better! What about you?" I replied whilst joining in on her laughter.
"I'm actually feeling quite good! You look so good by the way! I love your eyeshadow!" This is where her sweet side comes out, and trust me, although she is my best friend, she doesn't always say nice things.
