Nine years later:

“Auntie Heavenly, Auntie Heavenly, Diana fell into the pool, she's still there.” Hassan said, hyperventilating.

*Hassan is a friend of the twins*

“What? My Baby!” Heavenly exclaimed in fear as she ran to the pool area, while Hassan ran behind her. On getting there, she saw Diana by the pool side with people around her. “My baby, Diana honey, Are you okay, baby? Oh my God, Thank God you are fine!” Heavenly exclaimed as people watched her.

“Thank you so much for saving her life.” Heavenly thanked the lifeguard as soon as she was sure that Diana was okay.

“That is my job ma’am, but please make sure to keep an eye on the kids next time okay?” The lifeguard replied .

“Oh yes, thank you very much for saving her life once again. By the way do you by any chance know how she fell into the pool?” She asked.

“I don't know ma'am.” He answered.

“Oh then, thank you.” She told him as he walked away.

On their way home, Heavenly noticed that Diana was withdrawn and not acting as bubbly as she always did. It was like she was hiding something, like she wanted to say something but was too afraid to. When they got home she pulled Diana and Dinah to a corner and told them not to tell their dad about what happened at the pool then let them go after they assured her that they won't. Then they went to their room.

As Osaze arrived home that day he noticed that the house was quiet and that was something very unusual. Looking around he realized that the children were not in the living area. Heading to the stairs he saw Heavenly in the kitchen making dinner. Walking up to her he asked.
“Where are the children?”

A very surprised Heavenly turned back shocked that her husband was home so early, after a while she realized that her husband had asked her a question and she needed to reply.
“Errrrhhhhmmmm... Honey, you are back.. welcome, how was work today?” Heavenly stuttered nervously.

“That's not the answer to my question, Where the hell are my kids?” Osaze asked infuriated.

“They are upstairs in their room but they are sleeping” replied Heavenly shocked by her husband's anger.

Osaze quickly went upstairs to see for himself. On getting there, he saw Dinah reading a book and Diana was on the bed shivering. He moved  closer and he saw that her hands and feet were shrivelled.

“ Good evening, Daddy, you are back early today.” Dinah greeted. “What is wrong with your sister?” Osaze asked. “Huh!” Dinah exclaimed in confusion. “ Oh you mean you haven't noticed your sister has been shivering here?” Osaze said in anger. “What is happening here?” Dinah thought as she stood there gobsmacked.

Osaze quickly covered her up with a blanket. “Daddy” Diana called out weakly as Osaze covered her up. “It's okay, honey, Daddy’s here” Osaze said lovingly. He quickly went to his room, brought paracetamol and gave it to Diana after which she slept off.

As soon as he was done with Diana, he went downstairs to talk to Heavenly.

“ Heavenly! Heavenly! Heavenly!” He shouted, vexed. “Honey Bunny, what's wrong?” Heavenly asked nervously “What the hell is wrong with you? I give you everything you need to take care of yourself and my babies but all you still think about is business! Business, Business, Business, That's all you think of that you forget to take care of my kids. You don't even bloody care about your own children. I mean, what kind of person are you? For Heaven's sake? You only care about yourself and your pretty little business, You Virago” Osaze yelled in utmost anger.

“Really? Me, a Virago. What is this supposed to mean? Now, you are cursing, forgetting that we are Christians and Christians are not to curse ey?” Heavenly replied.

“Now, come on, you have certainly done more than cursing today, abandoning and neglecting your children today” Osaze quickly answered.

“Now, don't you ever say I neglect my children okay? How can you even think of that kind of thing? You are saying I don't care about the babies I carried in my Uterus for nine months ey?” Heavenly asked rhetorically as tears welled up in her eyes.

“ I took the children out for a swim, on getting to the swimming pool, they saw Hassan and his mom. We went to where they were and I exchanged pleasantries with his mom, the kids greeted her too. We both talked while we watched Hassan and our kids playing in the pool; with their floats on. After they played for a while, I told them to come out of the pool and get ready to go home, while I went upstairs to go and pee and as I was on my way down, I saw Hassan running towards my direction screaming my name. I asked him what happened and he told me that Diana fell into the pool. I ran to the pool area and on getting there, the life guard had already pulled her out and she was awake. She was fine earlier and she told me that she wanted to sleep. I even carried her to the room myself” Heavenly narrated soberly

“Now, you come here calling me ‘a Virago’ all because I said I wanted to start up a clothing line! Why are you like this? So insulting!” Heavenly added with tears in her eyes.

“Errrrhmmm... I’m sorry” Osaze said.

“Please... Just leave me alone with that grimy tongue of yours, just please” Heavenly replied angrily.

Osaze just went upstairs to his room thinking about all she said and how insulting he truly was.

Meanwhile, after cooking, Heavenly went to the kids’ room to check up on them.

“Mom, did you and have an argument? Did Daddy find out?” Dinah asked as Heavenly entered the room.

“Sweetie, your Dad and I were just trying to settle a little something, it's no biggie at all” Heavenly replied trying to calm a distressed Dinah.

“Please go get me the warm water I kept in the kitchen, sugar” Heavenly said.

“Okay mummy” Dinah answered as she hopped on to go get the water she was sent to get.

As Dinah left, Diana woke up.

“Mummy” Diana said softly.

“Yes baby, how are you feeling now?” Heavenly quickly asked anxiously.

“I am better now mummy. Mummy, I feel scared, I am afraid of Dinah. She pushed me into the pool today. I have been wondering why she tried to kill me today” Diana quickly told her mom.

“What? Dinah? How?” where the words that flooded Heavenly's mind.
