Somethings Off

Mikayla woke up when she hit the floor, as she ran from her nightmare. "Are you ok?" A sleepy Hermione questioned, "I'm fine!" Mikayla whispered yelled back, before leaving the dormitory, and making her way up to Harry and Ron's knowing they'd still be wide awake. "Mikayla what are you doing here?" Ron questioned once he opened the door revealing the blonde to his and Harry's view. "I know what he's after..." Mikayla spat out sitting down at the edge of Harry's bed, "you saw him talking to Rookwood too?" Mikayla shook her head no, talking a deep breath and casting a silencing charm on the room. "Look I knew it was the Department of Mysteries since I saw Arthur being attacked but I didn't say anything. Fergal tried to use the weapon as a bargaining chip for me to keep my mouth shut, but I didn't believe him because it's not a weapon." The boys looked at her confused, "I don't know how but I somehow had a vision of the Department of Mysteries, walking in the same door the snake showed me, it's called the Hall of Prophecy, there's a prophecy there with your name on it Harry and my guess is that it'll tell Voldemort how to get rid of you." Harry looked really worried at this information, "tell me about your vision."

Harry told Mikayla how he was Voldemort talking to Rookwood who told him there was no way Bode could retrieve the prophecy, this made Mikayla smile, "what are you smiling at?" Mikayla cleared her throat, "he doesn't know..." "know what?" Mikayla sighed, "the only people who can retrieve a prophecy from the Hall of Prophecy, is the people the prophecy was made about. You or Voldemort. He can't get it himself because he can't just walk into the Ministry or he'll blow his cover and everyone will know he's back. And I know you aren't gonna get it because then you'd be handing him the very thing he needs to destroy you." The three friends fell silent, suddenly the door swung open, Dean and Seamus walked in, they spotted Mikayla on the edge of Harry's bed, she quickly stood up. "I'll leave you be, see you in the morning boys." Mikayla rushed out the door and down the steps almost tripping on the last step before colliding into Fred.

"Sorry Fred, didn't see you there." Fred smiles slightly, "no worries, what are you up to?" Mikayla noticed the common room was now empty, "I was just talking to Harry and Ron, and now I'm going to do some song writing next to the fire since I'm wide awake. What about you?" Mikayla questioned leading Fred over to the chairs near the fire, before she summons her songbook, guitar and writing supplies. "I was just about to go to bed..." Mikayla nods unsure what to say, if she was being honest she wanted Fred back, but she felt like it is too soon after Cedric. "Oh ok, well enjoy your sleep." She smiles lightly, Fred slowly makes his way up to his dorm.

Mikayla woke up the next day on the couch, she yawn making her way upstairs to her dorm to gather her uniform and fill Hermione in on last nights drama but when she arrived Hermione was gone. Mikayla got dressed, did her hair and looked into the mirror to see a zombie like figure looking back at her. For her lack of sleep she had bags that could carry Cauldron Cakes, she decided to slap on some makeup to look alive today. Mikayla prepared her book bag for the day, filling her bag with the books needed throughout the day and a great appreciation for extension charms, Mikayla place a vial of her healing potion in her bag just in case it's needed and she disgusted it as the sleeping draught prescribed to her at the end of summer. Mikayla made her way over to the boys dorm to check if Harry and Ron were there and hopefully Hermione too. She knocked on the door and waited patiently before a shirtless Dean opened the door, Mikayla was surprised by this sight but tried to hide it with a smile. "Is Harry and Ron in?" Dean looked back into the room, "have either of you seen Harry or Ron?" He called you who Mikayla assumed to be Seamus and Neville, "they left for breakfast early today." Neville called back, Dean face returned to Mikayla's direction. "Thanks, I'll be off." Mikayla smiled as she turned and walked back down the stairs and straight through the common room and out the portrait hole.

When Mikayla arrived in the Great Hall her friends were nowhere in sight, she took a seat next to Lavender and across from Parvati and chatted with them as she ate her breakfast. As much as she wanted to find Harry, Hermione and Ron, skipping breakfast is too dangerous for her to skip breakfast after yesterday. Once Mikayla finished her breakfast she said goodbye to the girls and rushed out of the Great Hall and began searching the school, she heard a lot of commotion in the courtyard and made her way there to see her friends packed away in a corner and the Weasley Twins advertising their new Headless Hats with no nauseating side effect. Mikayla spotted Umbridge coming so she quickly summoned the Hats from the boys jackets and stuffed them into her bag. The twins looked like they were going to kill someone for stealing their hats.

Mikayla made her way over to her friends as Umbridge approached the Twins and the crowd. "Of course, it would have been easy for Lucius Malfoy to put the curse on him. Never out of the Ministry, is he?" Mikayla did a mocking of Umbridge's hem hem, causing the three of them to jump and face her, Ron sent her glares, Hermione sent her smiled and Harry look a little unhappy to see Mikayla. Mikayla's smile faded as she furrowed her eyebrows at this sight, "I'll um, see you guys later." Mikayla rushed from the trio, returning the hats to the twins before heading to Dumbledore's office.
