Lu Ping sighed heavily, leaning against the tree. They had come out to help 'save' this girl. Not that she truly needed saving. The woman got herself kidnapped for lack of a better word, at least once a month, but it was more like she hired people to do so so that Master would come out of hiding and help her. She seemed to be obsessed with him for whatever reason. Lu Ping really could not quite understand what her fascination was with him. Master, well, he was Master, he was always drinking something, whether it was wine (sometimes), beat (usually), or water (rarely). They were currently now stuck in the middle of the city, and Lu Ping was hiding out in the forest, not wanting to deal with all the extra drama. Lu Ping himself felt that it was stupid to keep complying to her whims. Let her be kidnapped and not saved for once. Why was Master so insistent on saving her when she did not even truly need saving?
It aggravating him, and they even had him drug along. They did not know that he had martial ability, so they did it just to get him to go with them. For whatever reason, they felt that he should. he had tried to convince them otherwise, but it would seem as though they were simply not letting it go. He was now stuck keeping watch, or at least that was what he claimed that he was doing. After all, there was really no reason to not. He refused to risk exposing himself, and therefore he was now stuck dealing with the reality that was boredom. It should not even take them this long to manage to save a woman, so what in the world was actually going on?
It was a bad habit, Lu Ping would admit. it was a horrible habit and he really needed to get rid of said habit, but he could not really help it. He needed to get rid of this habit before said habit ended up getting him killed before he noticed, or lead him straight into the path of the Mountain and Sea gang once more. he was more worried about the latter than the former as the latter was more likely to actually happen. It was something that worried him, but he did not think that they would recognize him by his face, more by either his name, or his power. Which made him regret ever actually telling the old man his name. He could not really blame himself though, as he had apparently been half delirious, and could not even remember having told the old Master his name, yet he had known it. Either way...he was curious.
Yes, he knew that it could not be helped. His curiosity seemed to span furlongs wide. He really needed to work on that, but he also wanted to make sure that they truly were not running into trouble. If something were to happen to them...Lu Ping was not entirely certain that he would be able to allow himself rest. He would deal with it, after all, but he did not really want to worry about them. Su tang was with them, and he was determined to ensure that she was safe. he was the one who had dragged her here, after all. To the Wind Takers. He needed to make sure that she was safe. He hated it when she went out of the school grounds, but there was not much that he could help about that either.
So he decided to just take a look. Just one, it would be brief, and he would go the minute he saw that everyone was fine.
But everyone was not fine. And it was with annoyance, and yet reluctant understanding, that he rushed into the fray, covering himself in black robes quickly, to hide his identity. He fought, and it was a rather unfair fight, if he was being honest. Two against one? Both the girl and the boy were highly trained, that was certain, but he was better. He was about to just leave, when he saw the circular talisman on the other's clothes. He grabbed it, snatching it of his body, ignoring the indignant hey which the man gave. His eyes were dark, and angry. His eyes sort of...glazed over and panic seized him. This man was not a part of the Gang, he would know. He had been keeping very, very, close tabs on the Mountain and Sea gang, and even if Lu Ping had missed the fact that a member had been recruited, the man did not even seem to understand the danger of loosing a token of the Mountain and Sea gang, furthering the understanding that this person was not from the gang. He had likely taken it from someone who was.
Ignoring the feelings of panic and anger, he flew off. With the token, of course. When he was a suitable distance from the city, he drug himself into a tree, lounging against it. he knew the other man would come after him to try and take the token from him, not that he would allow such a thing. He did not need more heads at the expense of a man just being an idiot.
"You know," He called out playfully, twirling the token around his fingers, catching the attention of the man whim he had stolen from. "You are really quite lucky that I took this little thing from you." He said simply. the man glared at him.
"Give it back!" He glared, voice harsh. Lu Ping ignored him. And continued to stare at him with dark eyes.
"Mhm, it is quite pretty." Lu Ping said simply, as though he were merely talking to himself. "I think I will keep it for myself."
"No, Give it back to me." Lu Ping tilted his head calculatingly to the side.
"Do you understand the severity of which this token holds?" Lu Ping asked, finally dropping himself to the floor. "You took this from someone who will murder and kill to get it back, and anyone whom they associated." Lu ping said seriously. It was not common that he spoke, let alone in a serious manner, but he was attempting to show the idiot the severity of this. The man seemingly did not quite understand, and continued to glare and demand that he return this token which he had 'won'.
"Is that so?" Lu Ping asked, voice dark.
He had tried. But then again, he would admit, some people simply would not be able to understand this situation in all of it's severity.
