"I had to leave because I didn't want you to suffer.
The very next morning at 3am, I took a helicopter.
I missed you so bad.
I wanted to hold you one more time and kiss you one more time...
But I couldn't do that."
James said, shedding a tear.

Natasha wiped his tears off his face.

"And...and...the helicopter- suddenly broke...
I don't know why. Everything was a chaos and I don't remember anything.
Next thing I noticed was that I was falling on to the ground.
Down, down, down...
I thought I was going to die. But I didn't.

I woke up in a uncomfortable bed. Arnim Zola was looking down at me.
Weird.
My arm was numb. I realized it was replaced with this."

James pulled his metal arm out and examined it again.

"It hurt like fucking hell... at first.
I got used to it, as I got used to the training at all the stuff that was going on in the lab.
Years passed of training and actually going out in the field and killing.
One day, Arnim Zola told me, that you will be here... and that's when we met each other."

As James finished his story, Natasha let out a long sigh. Her face was filled with guilt.

"I... I am sorry. I have always...uh...hatred my life, and you. I thought you left me for your own good, but.. no. I'm really sorry James, I really am...WHY???? WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN?"

Sudden anger took over Natasha. Anger towards herself an the people whom ruined her relationship with the only person she loved.

"Calm down Natasha. I'm alright. I'm here with you. Nothing will interrupt us anymore. It's okay..." James said, in a quiet and soothing voice. He finally felt what 'peace' was like after the lonely years.

He hoped this was the end of the pain.
