Niyah is starting adulthood with getting an apartment and starting college. However with her life coming together she will be Side tracked with a blast from the past and new love interest in her life.
Niyah POV Today is the day I finally get out my Parents house and get my own place. I been saving money since my freshman year of high school However, in the summer I'm starting my freshman year of college and I decided I didn't want to live on campus. I been looking at apartments online and taking meetings to look at these apartments and I find the one I wanted. Right now I'm on the way to my bestie house because she is the one to let me know if I should go through with it and if the deal is the right one for me. Can't have people tricking me.
"Tracy I'm outside" I said on the phone with her
"Ok I'm coming right now" Tracy said on the other end
Few minutes passed and I seen her coming out of her house locking the door and making her way to my car. Tracy got in the car and we both exchanges hugs and heys. Now we our on the way to this apartment.
"Girl are you happy you are finally getting your own place" Tracy said while applying lipgloss
"Yeah I am but wait till I sign the papers and get the keys first T" I said waiting for the light to turn green
The drive wasn't that long from Tracy house to the apartment building. When we got there I told them why I was there and they assisted me to the realtor office.
"Hello Ms. Ross, how are you doing today" Mr. Shane said walking into the office and shaking my hand in the process
"Hey Mr. Shane I'm doing fine and you" I said getting up to greet him also
"I'm wonderful and who this beautiful lady you have with you" Mr. Shane said while sitting down at his desk
"I'm Tracy" Tracy said while giving him a smile
Fast forward
We talk with Mr. Shane about the whole apartment process I looking through papers, sign them and made my payments. Now we are on the way to look at the apartment one more time and then Mr. Shane can give me my KEYS 🔑
"So this is it Ms. Ross and you can move in on Friday with all your things" Mr. Shane said
"Why Friday why she can't move in now" Tracy said
"Tracy it only Tuesday I can wait" I said giving her side eye
"The reason why because the maintenance worker for the apartment comes and do they last check up and make sure the water and electricity is working before the tenet move in" Mr. Shane said
"So when I can get my keys" I said
"On Friday go to the front desk and they have it ready for you because they already know. Your move in time is at 9am" Mr. Shane said
Tracy and I look at the apartment so more before we went to look at the apartment amenities. While looking at my new place that I will call home. Tracy and I meet middle age women relaxing by the pool.
"Well hello Ladys our you liking the apartment so far" Unknown lady said while sipping some of her margarita
"Yes ma'am and who are you" Tracy and I said at the same time
"I'm Mrs. King I'm the owner/landlord of this beautiful apartment building" Mrs. King said giving us her full attention
"Oh well I am glad to meet you. I'll be moving in on Friday" I said
"Wonderful sweetie" Mrs. King said giving me a smile
Tracy and I talk with Mrs. King for almost two hours. She seem like a well put together women and she is funny.
"Niyah sweetheart here my card. You can call or text me anytime if you need me or have any problems ok." Mrs. King said while handing me her card.
After that Tracy and I was so hungry and tired. So we decided to go to our favorite Jamaican spot and get some food. When we walk in the owner already had our orders ready. Yeah we popping like that but when we was walking out we seen a fine tall glasses of chocolate coming in our direction going into the restaurant.
"Excuse me let me get this door for you beautiful lady's" Boy said holding the door for us
"Thank you" Tracy said bating her eyelashes at him
"No problem ma" Boy said licking his lips
While the unknown boy and Tracy give each other love eyes I seen the unknown boy friend coming in this direction. An I ain't going to lie he don't look to bad himself either.
"Aye Jay come on because you know boss waiting on us" Unknown boy said opening the door to the restaurant and glancing at me
"Damn nigga I'm coming" Jay said sucking his teeth
"If I go get this food and come back out and you not by my car I'm leaving your ass" Unknown boy said
Jay talk with Tracy more and exchanged numbers. When the unknown boy walk out again he passed by me and gave me smile. After Tracy and I went back to her place and ate our food and watch Netflix. Now I just have to wait until FRIDAY.
