Chapter Twelve
Emma's Pov
I'm still sitting in the parking lot and everybody is now mostly gone. I'm just waiting for a group of kids so I can sell them a pack of cigarettes because they texted me before I was about to leave so I said I was gonna wait.
Finally, I see the group of young teens walking towards me and so I reach into my open car window to grab three packs of gross nicotine sticks. "how much for all three?" the tallest kid, Ryan asked "thirty bucks" I told him "what the price went up" he exclaimed "you made me wait ten minutes" I told him "fine" he groaned before handing me one 20 dollar bill and two fives.
"bye boys," I said waving before I got into my car and sped off out of the parking lot and down over to the beach it was only about a ten-minute drive but once I parked I put my car back in drive and drove another four or so minutes home so my car couldn't get vandalized.
Once I knew my car was secure I took the path in the woods to the La Push beach and it was empty besides a girl and a guy walking down by where the cliffs are so I just stayed closer to the parking lot to avoid them.
It's actually really cold today which isn't unusual but I always make the mistake of not bringing a jacket whenever I leave the house.

I have been here for about an hour or so now and I wanna be able to walk the trails instead of having to walk the roads like I did last time because I got a lot of weird stares from people driving.
My phone died while I was at school so I know I need to hurry up or else I won't have any light to help me get through the woods without falling and such so I got up off my spot in the sand and proceeded to dust myself off and put my shoes back on.
I walked into the forest and there is still light outside but since the sun is going down, so light doesn't get through the trees which makes it fairly dark. Groaning I start walking my way back home dreading seeing Cameron, that is if he is even home.
I also heard people talking about the Cullens today at school because I guess they are moving back but I don't really wanna talk to them because well they didn't tell me they even left in the first place so I take that as they don't care and never really did.
I mean they are nice vampires or whatever but I'll keep my distance. Suddenly I heard branches break behind me and I quickly turned around but it was just a deer so I relaxed a bit and laughed out loud and continued to walk.
I mean I don't know why I got so scared. I walk through the woods all the time seeing and hearing stuff like that. "you know the woods aren't safe" said a voice that sadly belongs to Jake "have you been following me?" I asked as I turned around to face him.
