Garrett sits in the mess hall with a glass of whisky in hand. His eyes are fixed on the sandy coloured liquid.

Maddy walks into the room, "You know it won't drink itself, chief."

Garrett turns, a little startled by the big man. He takes a long, deep breath.

Maddy walks over to the table and takes a seat, "shit really hit the fan earlier huh?"

"Yeah, somethin like that."

"Meaning?"

"Nothin. Ignore me."

"You meant somethin chief."

"Firstly," he raises his glass towards Maddy, and then takes a sip of his whisky, "secondly, stop calling me chief. And thirdly," he gulps the rest of the whisky.

"That bad?"

"She said we can't see one another no more. At least until we're back on earth."

"She must have her reasons."

He huffs, gives a quick, sarcastic smile, then says "Many."

"They must be good ones?"

"A couple."

"You gonna spill."

"Mainly her sister."

"What about her?"

"She has a thing for me."

"And that's why she's been actin up."

He pours another whisky, "yep."

"That's some complicated shit man."

"It sure," gulps the quarter glass and screws his face up, then gives a whopping cough, followed by a horsed "sure is."

"What ya gonna do?"

"Doin what she wants."

"Let me get a glass."

"Go ahead my friend."

Jesse stands with her hands on her hips at the window, staring out at the stars.

Paige is still unconscious.

Kennedy walks into the room, "cap?"

Jesse is a million miles away and does not hear her.

She walks up to her and rests her hand on Jesses' shoulder.

Jesse turns around, startled, "what the hell?"

"Shit, sorry cap," she waits for Jesse to catch her breath, then says, "I did call you a moment ago, but you were in a world of your own."

"It's alright. I was. I-I."

"You seem very distance these last few hours. What has you so... ya know?"

Jesse sighs heavily, then walks over to the bed, and says pointing at her, "she does. I mean," she turns her head to Kennedy, "look at her."

Kenned walks up to the end of the bed, "yeah, it's messed up alright."

"It's a little more than messed up."

"What did the asshole say about it?"

"He doesn't know yet. All him and the big bosses know, is that we're out looking for her ship."

"What did they say about that?"

Jesse does not answer.

"Come on cap, you've never held out on us before."

She turns away, If only that were true. "I know, but this time I have to. At least for now."

"Okay, but you will tell us, right?"

"When you need to know."

"Thanks," Kennedy says as she stares at the side of Jesses' head. Her thanks sound sincere but if her eyes were drill bits, there would be a hole all the way through the caps head. Kennedy hates the thoughts she is having about her captain, and friend, so she changes her focus, "what about this one? What's going to happen to her?"

"I don't know," she turns and faces her, "we don't have any equipment to look inside to see what that thing is."

Kennedy looks down at Paige, "We also need to find that girl. There isn't that many places for her to hide," she looks back up at Jesse.

Jesse is staring at the door wide-eyed.

Kennedy follows her gaze and her eyes widen too.

"Nooooo," Jesse screams.
