I sat there patiently, waiting for my name to be called. It was a sunny, Friday afternoon and I had plans with my friends later that evening.

"Ta'Meah", The lady with the short red hair called. I stood up nervously and gripped my purse beside me. she brought me to weighing scale and checked my height as well. "137.8", The scale read. I know it. It was true. I have never weighed so much in my life.

After the nurse measured my height, she took me to a room with a yellow door. It had the number 25 on it... My favorite number. I said down on the patient's bed with my head down.
"So what brings you in today Mrs. Graham?", she asked with a small smile.
"Ms. Graham... Mrs. Graham is my mother," I replied. She chuckled.

I started, "Well, I have been getting a lot of unusual weight, morning sickness, and have a lot of mood swings".
She smiled so brightly. "You would like a pregnancy test, ma'am?" I nodded. I knew it was true but I had to be for sure.

She took me to a restroom and told me there were already cups in there and when I was finished to put it in the metal slider. I did as I was told and proceeded back to the room. The nurse also stated that it would be about a half an hour before the results came in and because today was suspiciously going slow, I could stay in & wait.

As I plopped back onto the patient's bed, I checked my phone to see a text from my boyfriend, Jeremiah. He had asked why I've been ignoring his FaceTime calls. I lied and said "bc my phone bout to die", But in reality I didn't want him to know I was at the doctors office. We shared locations but he didn't check mine as often to even realize that I turned it off for my time being here. He simply told me to charge my damn phone and call him back. I replied "okay".

About 45 minutes past and the nurse returned. I noticed she had papers and pamphlets in her hand but they were folded so I couldn't tell what they were about. she said down in the gray rolling chair in question if I enjoy babies, kids. I teared up. I was pregnant. "Yes, ma'am. I absolutely love him, but I am too young to have my own," I cried out. "Well, there's good news and bad news. Which one would you like first?" She asked with a lot of sympathy in her eyes. I chose bad.

"The bad news apparently is that you are pregnant. The good news is that you are only five weeks so it's definitely possible to terminate your pregnancy," she stated.

At this point, I was bawling my eyes out. Snot bubbles and everything. She handed me three pamphlets and two papers of record showing that I was pregnant. A lot was going to my head. How can I terminate my pregnancy without anyone knowing? if I did do this, would it mess up my chances of getting pregnant later in life? but what if I keep it? Will Jeremiah still be here?
"What should I do?", were the only words that could escape my lips.
The nurse said, " well from the looks of it, you're a junior in high school?". I nodded.
"I know this isn't about your family, it's all on you, but your parents would be so disappointed if they found out their baby girl was having a baby".

I wasn't surprised she knew my parents. My mother was the state's best psychiatrist, in my opinion and a lot of others. My father was a famous plastic surgeon... Like Dr. Miami but Dr. Los Angeles, much more better than ol' Dr. Miami. They had so many more expectations for me, but here I am, 16-year-old girl pregnant by Jeremiah Harris, the star sports player. Any sport you name he's pretty damn good at it so that was his way out of the ghetto. but again, here I am messing up everyone's reputation.

"Baby, have this baby", she said in a soft voice. "You can afford it and you are a very brilliant girl, I know you can handle the things that are about to hit you. You are a
pretty famous girl, there are going to be a lot of people who support you and others who may not. When I saw you in that waiting room, I could sense that this reason right here is what brought you in today. I'm going to say this and then I'm going to let you go. Do what you feel what's best for you! If you don't want this baby, you can set up an appointment and get it over with. But if you plan on keeping it, remember that it's OK to do what is necessary throughout your pregnancy," she said.

All of what she was saying touched me in a way. I did this and I have to deal with the consequences. I got up and hugged her, thanked her. She probably thought it was weird but I honestly needed a hug.

I signed a few papers at the front desk then headed to my car. I had a nice car. My daddy bought it for me for my 15th birthday. It was a lime green 300 S Chrysler with black tinted windows & jet black rims. I was so thankful to have high class parents like the ones you'd see in the movies. When I break it to them, they are going to be so upset. I've decided to tell Jeremiah about the pregnancy first but Lord knows when that'll be.
